Multiple PVCs And Effect On The Number Of Eligible Voters. by Originakalokalo(m): 11:11am On Feb 15, 2019
My question is this,

Is it possible to have multiple pvc?

If yes, can the person use them all to vote?

People have multiple pvc in the North..... I don't know how they pulled that off.

Someone may be seen carrying as much as 8pvc.

These might not be stolen... One person just manipulate his name's and get registered multiple times.

What is INEC doing concerning this?

Thank you sir. A close inspection of the PVC registration process shows that there is no provision for prevention of multiple registration. People just assume because they are registered with computerized processes, there must be some form of check for this. It is a quiet scam.

This is more important than all 64 topics on Nairaland FP.
Multiple PVC is a reality and all the hundreds of topics about fair election and politicking can be negated by this issue.

It is a pity.

That's why you see millions of registered voters in some quarters.

Imagine someone carrying 8 pvc. It is well sir.

Nigeria is not a proper country I tell you. The funny thing is that southerners are the ones enforcing the single PVC rules mostly.
There should be a central and super computer that matches fingerprint from every new registration against every other existing one. This thing requires a lot of computer resource but isn't out of the reach of Nigerian govt financially and infrastructurally.

This happened across Nigeria based on data from INEC

Some of this data has since been deleted from their website.

There is now wide scale discrepancy between the figures announced and that which INEC had.

Lagos was won by PDP but 300 thousand plus votes possibly made by users with multiple malfunctioning PVCs were suddenly introduced into the results.

.

We are WELL aware now

And we are claiming to have a free and fair election? The truth is that the popular candidates are both guilty of this.

It is one key reason there is underdevelopment in the northern part of Nigeria.

Of what use is the card reader then if it can't check. Out multiple pvc or didn't they take our biometrics?

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has called off the election boycott order he had issued his supporters in the South East.Mazi Kanu, in a statement by IPOB’s Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, said due to “our terms and conditions had been met by those wishing us to lift the ban on voting, it was unanimously agreed that the boycott should be lifted.”
Kanu had issued the boycott order, saying there would not be election in the south-east until the federal government conducted a referendum.
Kanu, who is wont of giving orders to his supporters during election and as well as declaring sit-at-home orders to IPOB members to underscore the group’s demand for a referendum, Friday, recanted on his earlier boycott order.
kanu had, last year, vanished from Nigeria after the military launched an exercise code-named Operation Python Dance (Egwu Eke) which saw the troops attacking the home of the Biafran leader.
The group had claimed that their leader, who went underground for over six months, was killed by the military only for him to surface in Israel, alive.
Since he issued the boycott order, condemnations had trailed his order, especially from the Igbo apex Socio-cultural group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, who had urged him to call off the order.
However, just few hours to the election day, th IPOB leader and his group called off the boycott order, saying some conditions it gave were met. The group said all the terms and conditions it gave those wishing it to call off the order had been met.
In the statement by the group’s spokesperson, it said in due course, it would made public the document of the agreement it signed with those who urged it to call of the boycott order.
The statement partly reads thus: “It’s important we notify the world at large and the indefatigable global IPOB family in particular that our supreme leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has called-off the election boycott in Biafraland.
“After a brief emergency session of the Directorate of State late last night, presided over by our leader, it was determined that all our terms and conditions had been met by those wishing us to lift the ban on voting, it was unanimously agreed that the boycott should be lifted.
“The signed document agreeing to IPOB terms and conditions are in our possession and will be made public in due course.
“We can, therefore, state with utmost sense of responsibility and pride that IPOB has accomplished what no other people or group has been able to do in the history of our people. Without prejudice, this will go down as the defining moment when the irreversibility of the restoration of Biafra was firmly entrenched in the subconscious of all and sundry. As a result of which we can state categorically that Biafra is a lot closer than we think as a result of this.”

If Nigeria were to be a sane country, APC as a party would have asked Buhari to step down for another candidate to fly the Presidential flag on grounds of incapacitation and neglect for the rule of law

When you hear people raising alarm about the quality of INEC registration machine sent to their region don't blame them. I know of a friend in far north west who registered for his PVC around 1am in the morning. Same also I know of some one who tried registering for another PVC because of change in location but the system already has his thumb print but same can't be said for other zone were you see people registering more than twice without trace. May God help Nigeria and vote wisely ( you know what I mean)
