Saraki Describes Saturday as A Day Of Destiny

The Director General of the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign and the Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki has described tomorrow, Saturday, February 16, as a day with destiny.

Saraki made this assertion while speaking at the Kwara Central Youth town hall meeting in Ilorin on Thursday, February 14, 2019.

Speaking at the town hall meeting, Saraki said the administration of the Party’s Presidential Candidate Atiku Abubakar will be youth driven.

Valentine’s Day at Election Period, a Divine Arrangement – Contest Organiser

The celebration of Saint Valentine’s Day two days to the conduct of the 2019 general elections is a divine arrangement that love will continue to exist among Nigerians.

The organiser of Miss Valentine Africa contest, Dickson Buffalo, disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria on Thursday in Lagos.

Buffalo said that Nigerians would be privileged and be guided by the spirit of love to choose their rightful leaders at the polls on Feb.16 and March 2 .

Election: FG Orders 48 Hours Closure of Land and Sea Borders

As Nigerians go to the polls on Saturday (tomorrow) to elect the President and members of the National Assembly, the federal government has ordered that all land and sea borders be closed.

This was made known in a statement issued by the service public relation officer, Sunday James and signed by the Comptroller General of Immigration, Muhammad Babandede.

According to the statement, the borders will be effectively closed by 12 noon on Friday, February 15 and opened on Sunday, February 17, 2019, by 12 noon.

BREAKING: Onnoghen Appears in CCT for Trial, Pleads Not Guilty

Embattled Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter Onnoghen today made his first public appearance since he was suspended by President Muhammadu Buhari on January 25.

Justice Onnoghen arrived at the Code of Conduct Tribunal at about 9:40 am to face trial for allegations bordering on non-declaration of assets.

The tribunal chairman Danladi Umar had on Wednesday ordered the inspector-general of police Mohammed Adamu to arrest Onnoghen after failing to appear before the tribunal since the commencement of his trial in January.

2019 Poll: Number of PVCs Exceeds Total Registered Voters in Oyo

The number of Permanent Voter Cards in Oyo State is 28,539 higher than the number of registered voters in the state.

While the aggregate of available PVCs is 2,962,646, the number of registered voters stands at 2,934,107.

This was gathered in a statistics secured by Newsmen from the Independent National Electoral Commission’s office in Ibadan, the state capital.
