BLACKHEADS

Most times, this blackhead pimples appears on the nose and chin. They are formed as a result of the dead skin cells, bacteria and the excess oil on your face which result in a thing formation of pimple known as blackheads. This are the types that has an open pore. Medically, it is referred to as Opened Comedones. They are usually small and black, they form as slightly raised bumps. The trapped dirt has nothing to do with the colour. Blackhead darkens as a result of exposure to air.

WHITEHEADS

Whiteheads form mostly on cheeks and fore head. Am sure you will all agree with me that this is the most common type of pimple out there. They form due to the dead skin cells, bacteria and oil on the face. Medically, it is referred to.
Closed Comedones. as You will notice that it is a bit similar to blackhead. The only significant difference here is that whiteheads are always closed and filled with pus while blackheads are opened. This white head pimple tightens or wrinkle the skin around it most especially when it is a bit big. This type of pimple can be very much tempting to pop with your fingers but try your best to avoid popping your pimples if you have.

PUPULES

This type of pimples are also very common. They appear in a red or pink colour on your face. They also a little bit bigger than blackheads and whiteheads spots and it has no visible center. Popules are filled with pus and can also be popped easily with your fingers but never do that, instead, consult a dermatologist or use some pimples cream. When the black and white heads irritation level increases, it damages the surrounding skin which turns out to form pupules.

PUSTULES

This type of pimple also appear red or pink in colour fill with whitish or yellowish pus. Pustules are formed when pupules swell and became big. They are usually bigger than blackheads, whiteheads and even pupules. Best thing is to consult a dermatologist for the treatment. Along the way of treating pustules, it might take a long time before you start seeing improvements. This is because it takes longer time for it to heal completely.

CYSTS

This type of pimple form when the clogged pore get more damaged . They appear bigger on the skin and are very
painful. They are swollen and red in colour and they contain pus. They form deeper within the skin. Cysts can also take long time to heal so it’s advisable to consult a dermatologist for medications if you didn’t see any improvement treating it your self either by home remedies or pimples cream.

NODULES

This type of pimple is formed deep within the skin, it appears red in colour and it’s bigger and painful than cysts. They are formed as a result of damaged clogged pores. Nodules are severe form of acne and can cause skin scar if not treated well. They also take a long time to completely get rid of them. If after treating it yourself and didn’t see positive result, you should consider consulting a dermatologist.
When to see a Doctor

In most pimple cases, a person will have to treat it himself using home and over-the-counter remedies consistently for some weeks before they see positive results

More severe inflammatory types of pimple like nodules and cysts takes much longer to heal. Consult a doctor or dermatologist if pimples are severe like nodules and cysts and do not respond to home or self treatment.

Make sure not to pop your pimples most especially cysts and nodules as this can cause scarring.
