Why It Is Wrong And Trivia To Compare The 2015 And 2019 Election Postponement by Medley(m): 8:17am On Feb 16, 2019
This Article is for those that like comparing failure to failure hereby weighing on which is better.

Manner of postponement

Let it be known that 2015 Elections postponement was done at least A week to the date(Elections was to hold on February 14th 2015 but was postponed on the 7th of February because of Security reasons and everyone saw the gains on the fight against terrorism after the postponement on those LGA held by the terrorist group, though it was a late effort). What made it difficult for this postponement to have been done at least a week ago? Why did INEC wait five hours to the Elections proper? Where there no deliverables and timelines that showed that the planning and scheduling wasn't going as planned?

The General Inconveniences this have Caused

Corps members and other Ad-hoc staffs that where suppose to participate in the Elections did not sleep on bare floor in 2015 as seen on this 2019 Postponement, voters have not travelled long distance to their polling unit only to wake up to find out that the Elections have been shifted. I only discovered by 06:00Hrs that's two hours to the Elections.

Is the Government to Blame?

The government have alwaya said that appointment are based on merit, all his appointees have either resigned for forging papers, achieved little and nothing to show for and this is one of the output of the governments appointment - so there will take part of the blame.

This is the same Mindset of Some Nigerians and may even make many to see how incompetent this government is for example Some die hard supporters in Lagos that woke up to learn of this said there will not vote a particular presidential candidate of their party again, but will vote the governorship Candidate of the party.

Why won't the government be blamed? Why should Election materials be burnt - was there no security operative securing this materials, are they not the people that appointed the INEC leadership based on ''Merit'' in a country of over 180 Million people.

The Press Release of the Ruling party Campaign Organisation

To Crown it all, The APC campaign spokesperson still had the temerity to blame the opposition - Even Osun Elections had to go into re-run for some reasons. They've been on the blaming game for four years. This didn't happen in 2015 - we didn't see the ruling party blame the opposition for the postponement, are this people taking us for granted, this is a slap on Nigerians.

Finally, this is a government that promised change and anything short it should be castigated. We can't continue bringing shame to our country Nigeria among the comity of Nations. How do we intend to be taken seriously, how do we intend to make foreign investors trust us and our policies?

This is Just an after thought, the government could no longer believe in the lies that they are ready for the elections, the numbers don't add up
