I think PDP benefits more from this postponement than APC. The backlash of the postponement is being directed at the presidency with all manner of insinuations and conspiracy theory. It is perceived as an act of incompetency from the government even though everyone knows that PMB had given them a free hand to do their job and ensured that they had the resources they requested for.

The bigger picture for me is that a Nigerian has failed once again, a professor at that. There is nothing that I can't think of that we do well as a people, even the advanced free fraud that we are known for, we are not as good as those in eastern Europe like Romania, Albania and the rest of them but because of how good they are, they point their actions else where.

Is it sports, no, we are no where near sensible nations. The world cup last year had all African Nations including Nigeria getting out either in the group stage or 2nd round, mostly from lack of technicalities.

The world looks at Africa as a people who can and will not get it right and God knows that we work extra hard to prove them right. Election is about logistics, movement of Electioneering materials, movement of personners, transmission of results before collation.

As a person, I did not see this postponement coming, in short when the rumour mills came out yesterday, I dismissed it as mischief makers at it again. The INEC chairman was a member of ASUU and has probably been among those going on strike over the years claiming successive government were inadequate yet given the opportunity now to make a difference, he flopped.

The truth is, give that job to 80 millions of adults in Nigeria and 90% of them will flop, as a people we really need to look ourselves in the mirror and tell ourselves the hard truth. We spend all our time condemning others yet when we get the opportunity to make a difference we come out worse.

OP, your observations are very correct.

It's only commonsensical that any postponement, especially this far into the preparations and in this case, on the D-Day of the election, only stands to benefit the opposition. It puts the incumbent government in bad light no matter how you look at it. So there is no logical reason why the APC/Buhari government would want the elections postponed.

I have issues with you blaming the INEC chairman for the poll shift.

Is it that you have failed to read how the presidency deliberately frustrated logistics so that the polls would be staggered?

You didn't read that the INEC chairman was unyielding to such sinister plan which made him postpone the polls?

Could you be an APC agent out to call for the man's head?

My dear Nigeria was, is, and will always be a failure because it was never designed to be a great nation. Outsiders put us together for the sole purposes of enriching themselves.

Subsequent governments (acting as leaders although they are still working for the colonialist) are simply perpetuating the loot. That is why when you hear Biafra, they send army, Niger Delta resource control, they send army, Restructuring, they begin their rubbish killings in North and beyond, presidential elections, they send retired army generals to contest and WIN

So you see, you live in a zoo unfortunately and until you decide to go back to African based countries/names, you will forever be a citizen of the British Nigger Area Company
