The European Union Election Observation Mission, Economic Community of West African States Election Observation Mission and other election observers have asked the Independent National Electoral Commission to finalise preparations and adhere strictly to the new February 23, 2019 date for the general elections.

The Observer missions noted that the suspension of the polls due to logistical and operational challenges had caused disappointment for many, admonishing the commission to provide regular updates and information to the public on its preparations in the coming days and weeks to enhance confidence and trust in the process.

This was contained in a statement jointly signed by the leader of the ECOWAS Election Observation Mission, former President of Liberia, Johnson Sirleaf, African Union Election Observation Mission leader, former Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Hailemariam Desalegn and Commonwealth Observer Group leader, former President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Jakaya Kikwete.

Others include the Electoral Institute for Sustainable Democracy in Africa Election Observation Mission leader, former President of Zambia, Rupiah Banda; European Union Election Observation Mission Chief observer, and Belgian Member of the European Parliament, Maria Arena; National Democratic Institute/International Republican Institute Election Observation Mission co-Chairmen, former President of Botswana, Festus Mogae, and ex-President of Latvia, Vaira Vīķe-Freiberga.

Others are the Director of African Political Affairs Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, Amb. Boubakar Adamou and the United Nations Special Representative of the Secretary-General for West Africa and the Sahel, Dr. Mohamed Ibn Chambas.

The statement read, “We, the Heads of the international election observation missions and the United Nations present in Nigeria, have taken note of the decision of the INEC to postpone the 2019 general elections due to logistical and operational challenges.

“We urge INEC to use this time to finalise all preparations and ensure that the new election dates are strictly adhered to. We encourage INEC to provide regular updates and information to the public on its preparations in the coming days and weeks to enhance confidence and trust in the process.

“As we continue to closely observe preparations across the country, we stand in solidarity with the people of Nigeria in their desire for credible and peaceful elections.”

Make dem no comply, we shall form a parallel government supported by all the international communities.

Buhari is old & suffering from acute dementia, and he's not in charge of the government as revealed by his wife - Aisha.

People like Mamman Daura, Abba Kyari, Samaila Isa Funtua & Abdulrahman Dambazau are no different from Sambo Dasuki - and should be behind bars.

The APC government has failed to live up to its campaign promises - and so, they must be booted out.

They think we're daft enough to be swayed & hoodwinked by their useless 1972 outdated standard gauge railway when the masses are being killed by hunger, herdsman & boko haram.

I voted for Buhari in 2015 because I was misled into believing he would transform Nigeria into an El-dorado just like Putin did for Mother Russia but alas, rather than being positioned on the road to El-dorado, we're currently competing with Iraq & Afghanistan. grin

Atiku might not be the best candidate for the job, but having another 4 years of a nepotic & fanatical tyrant propped-up by terrorists like El-Rufai & Abba Kyari including greedy money-hungry crab like Tinubu will throw Nigeria into a state of National Funeral.

Therefore, any youth joining this useless government in flashing & showing us their 8 leprositic fingers when they should be showing us their scorecard needs to undergo an emergency lobotomy procedure. grin

Inec chapter 6

On the last day, Buhari saw that everything created by God is good and already getting atikulated, He cancelled Election. But verily verily I say unto thee, the number of people that will get atikulated in this latter day will be greater than your imagination.
Thus says by me.

It's good Nigeria is getting world focus, in fact the UN/Ecowas should bring in diplomatic soldiers to assist the security.

If we could disburse N6bn for security personnels and still get violence despite postponed elections,

-Blockade and highjack of vehicles conveying electoral materials.

- killings and mayhem on Corp members, Then it's time for UN/ECOWAS not just to observe via words of mouth but send in diplomatic army to assist in co-ordination.

Sad we quickly forgets; a thief was stealing and converting your properties to his personal belongings for almost 7yrs, came back begging you that it was the devil and if you give him another chance he won't steal from you. Atiku had the chance to bring positive changes to this country but he failed, the only time he was against Obasanjo was the 3rd term agenda which was not for Nigerians but for their selfishness. Ask yourselves, why didn't Obasanjo probe Atiku when he had the opportunity because they were both stealing our yams.
Buhari might not be the best choice but not Atiku whom had stolen from us and still promised in his campaigns that he will enrich his friends, sell NNPC to who? Same thing he did has Chairman National Privatisation Commission. For Nigeria to move forward we all need to put sentiments aside.

Vote wisely.

Nigerian politicians are greedy, wicked, heartless and deadly.
PDP=APC.

So has Buhari probed Atiku?

Yes selling NNPC is key, same NNPC that claimed we consume twice more than we did in 2015?

Same NNPC that doled out a $25bn contract without proper approvals?

NNPC is just a cash cow to every government.

The number of votes Buhari will get in South West will determine the number of illiterates, idiots, and ignorant fools we have there, they claim to be the most exposed and educated tribe but see as Buhari is using both tinubu and the professor as toilet paper,
Every other region has rejected the born illiterate failure called Buhari but only the Yoruba's is still crying for him cos of their selfish interest, shame on you guys, Buhari has just exposed how shallow minded you guys are.

Those names you mentioned above are the four horsemen that has held Nigeria in a vice-like grip for years..they have been manipulating the 'almost' nonexistent president into signing treaties for the country and borrowing exorbitant amount of loans..these are men that had NO visible contribution to their party or the country at large..now they're the decision makers in aso rock.
