Juventus are currently sitting comfortable with a 13-point lead ahead of Napoli in the Serie A standings. The only team to have achieved that feat after week 22 round of matches was Inter Milan in the 2006-07 season

The Bianconeri recorded a comprehensive 3-0 win over Frosinone while Napoli were held at home to Torino

Juventus’ 13-point-lead at the top of Serie A over second-placed side Napoli has been the widest ever margin in week 24 since 2006-07 season.

The Bianconeri in an early scheduled match defeated Frosinone by 3-0 as Napoli were held to a 0-0 scoreline by Torino in Naples.

It was Carlos Ancelotti side’s second consecutive draw in as many weeks as the Italian champions extended their lead to 13 points on the table.

And according to Opta Stats, since three points for a win was introduced in the 1994-95 season, the only time there had been a 13-point margin between first and second was back in the 2006-07 season.

Inter Milan were the league leaders during that period and they were coasting to a Serie A title ahead of Roma who were in second after 24 round of matches.

And that was the season Juventus were demoted to Serie B after they were found guilty of match-fixing allegations.

Meanwhile, Juventus defeated second to the bottom team Frosinone by 3-0 at the Allianz Arena.

Cristiano Ronaldo provided the assist for Paulo Dybala’s first, while Leonardo Bonucci scrambled home Juve’s second in the 19th minute.

Ronaldo then crowned the night with a thumping finish to extend the Bianconeri’s lead at the top of the table.
