British Govt Deploys Over 60 Observers For Nigeria’s Elections by presstimestv: 5:26am On Feb 23, 2019 |
The British government has set 60 observers in 15 countries across Nigeria for the general elections. The British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Catriona Liang, stated this in a video shared on Friday while urging Nigerians to go out and vote. She Said although Nigerians were disappointed following the elections were postponed last week, that should not deter them from going out to vote. “It’s your Opportunity to make a difference; not Simply to vote for the Politicians of your choice, but also to play your role in Nigeria’s emerging democracy; helping to consolidate the progress since 2015. “As A long-time buddy and partner in Nigeria, we’ll be playing our role, we’ll have 60+ observers in 15 states around the nation observing the election. “And, clearly, it is very important that INEC stays as the impartial umpire for this particular election. We wish all Nigerians all the best for the election day”. Read more: https://presstimes.ng/british-govt-deploys-over-60-observers-for-nigerias-elections/#ixzz5gKDkBixQ
