Hello, i got admitted to Wuppertal & would love to have some first hand information about the city. Any special skill(s) that might help in getting student jobs, especially for someone whose german is just basic? Any info/advice will be appreciated.

Wuppertal as a city is a very nice city, but very cold during winter season, lots of hills and mountains, and it has a beautiful scheweband, thats the name of the train that moves passengers over head, from one location to the other, I think with you semester ticket you can move with it, also there are lots of cafes, shops like Obi, Lidi, Audi discount Mart etc,

As for finding a part-time job, it's possible when you have at least A1 German knowledge, or you want to work in the factories.

AM comes between 4-6 weeks normally.
Some cases might take shorter or longer, depending on different factors.

Good evening guys. Congrats to all who have gotten AL. Thanks to those who dropped their interview transcript. Good luck to those waiting for their AM.
I want to suggest a solution that should maybe be forwarded to the embassy by anybody from here, concerning the issue with getting an interview date, the embassy should make it mandatory that one provides his/her admission letter before being able to book a date for interview. Not that you will be booking date based on calculation and then hindering some people who ought to get a date at that particular time cause their enrolment deadline is near. This method will make it easier and faster for us all. Thanks. DE go contain us. Lol
