You can pay for your accommodation online. Just follow the direction on your admission letter. Do that as fast as possible. Go to the studentwerk site and book a room immediately.

@elders in the house, please I need your opinion

Between Schmalkalden (Msc in Applied Computer science) and TU Chemintz (M.Sc in Web Engineering) which would you advice based on quality of education and possibility for locating internships.

Thanks

Well Chemnitz is just a calm and cheap city. Gets hot when the citizens feel uncomfortable.
For student life based on job;
You have high chances of getting a 450€ job easily if you don't have German knowledge. If you are well skilled in IT and based on your course you can get a werkstudent position in some companies around. Sometimes people get lucky with their lecturers and get a student assistant position. Other jobs are in close by cities like the state capital(dresden) and leipzig.

For student life based on activities;
You will meet nice and friendly people but also you'll meet few hostile ones. Based on your personality you can never be bored because the Nigerian guys here organise activities occasionally. Most times(when not exam period) they gather in school field to play ball and laugh away boredom.

For student life based on school work;
The same as other cities.

For student life based on expenses;
It depends on your spending habit but apart from monthly dorm fee which is within 170 - 260€, health insurance 92€(TK) and radio fee 17€, a 70€ visit to penny or edeka for food stuff should take you a through the month. Addition expenses come ones in a while.
please what kassel in Hesse. I got admitted in university of kassel. What chances of students jobs and living standard. Thanks

Why not! Just do the needful and you will see yourself here. I know so many people who said they goofed during their interviews and finally made it! God cant be bring you this far only to drop u at the naija embassy. You will definitely reach your destination.'

The worst thing that could happen is a rejection which we can counter with an appeal

Just start packing ur bags, weavons, lipsticks,etc

Getting internships/jobs ain't based on school. it all depends on ur skills. Just make sure u have the needed skills. when time comes for internship just keep it touch and we can take it up from there.

and it all depends on where u want to intern. Most companies will test your competency via a coding challenge if its Development position

Traüm was schönes!

Good morning guys, there is an issue that is seriously bothering me. All I need is your advice.

Due to my low cgpa, I decided to channel all energy into applying to both bachelors masters courses. I got the Bsc AL first and I booked appointment for bachelors category B, and I later got a date. Now I have masters admission and I'm so excited about the course and school but I don't know if can use my Bsc AD to go for my masters AL. I asked the embassy if I can use my bachelors appointment letter for my masters interview and they told me to go ahead that I have no problem. But considering whats going on with appointment date scarcity, can there be an issue on the day of my interview even as the embassy has given me go-ahead to use the bachelors category B appointment date for my Msc interview.

Please I really your input.

I understand that you are skeptical. But the most important organization to you has given you the go ahead, what do you need our advice for.... No one on this thread can speak for the embassy.
Print their response if it was a mail that was sent and take it along on the day of your Interview... When the VO asks (if they Do) present the response from the embassy.
All the best

TRANSCRIPT ALERT!
So had my interview on the 10th (yesterday). Lodged at sappers Lodge inside bony cantonment, very nice, spacious and comfortable room. With a lounge by a mini beach too, somewhere to cool your head before your interview the next day grin
I had to set 2 alarms each on two of my phones, before my village people use me shine cheesy. By around 11pm, I remember say I no get WAEC scratch card.. Nsogbu! I quickly go online go buy am. I woke up by 4am, left the lodge by 5am, got to the embassy by 5:15. I went to print the scratch card I bought. Those guys for embassy use me shine. Collect 1k for my hand just to print on page document. Anyway, I see am as price wey I gats pay for my carelessness. Please triple check your documents to see if they're complete before the day of your interview o, unless you wan dash those guys money. I was the first at the embassy. Our appointment letters were stamped and signed on. Oga Paulinus came by few minutes past 6. I been no know say na him be the almighty oga Paulinus o.. Na the guy for my back tell me grin He started attending to us by 6:45. Attended to Schengen people first, before long term. He called the first 3 people, asked us to remove our documents and keep them on the chair. The 3rd was wasting time na so oga Paulinus change am for him o, tell my guy make e go for back of line. For my mind, this man na me and you today grin. He collected our passport, put the appointment letter inside, placed it on a desk, then took the 2 application forms and placed them side by side. Then he started calling other documents one after the other, 1 original and 2 photocopies. We were done within 5 minutes, na so oga Paulinus begin commend us o grin That we were the fastest since he started working there. For our 3 mind we dey feel like James bond cool Paulinus doesn't really have a problem, contrary to what I've been reading about him here, he's just too disciplined and expects your to be fast and smart. Do exactly what he asked you to do and do it fast enough and you won't have problems with him.
We were checked in and got to the visa section. I was interviewed by the fair lady in room 2. She was friendly.
She asked for my passport and application form.

VO: where and what are you going for?
Me: Hamburg University of Applied Sciences,
Bachelors in information engineering
VO: Bachelors? And you booked category A?
Me: I have a bachelors certificate.
VO: What did you study?
Me: Electronic and Computer Engineering
VO: it's not related to what you're going for now?
Me: It is
VO: So why are you going for it?
Me: answer
VO: Give me your application fee
VO: have to funded?
Me: yes I have.
VO: which bank?

She captured my finger prints, then asked me to pick up the phone.

VO: why this course?
VO: why Germany?
VO: why not US or UK?
VO: what do you know about Germany?

I use this one shine small grin I dey talk she just dey type dey nod her head.

VO: plans after your studies?
VO: that'll be all.

All in all, it went well. Just be yourself. As for oga Paulinus, forget everything you've heard about him here, just be on your best behaviour that day.

The wait for AM begins!

It'll all end in praise!!
Is this in Lagos or Abuja

The reply I got from the school.

While processing your application and examining the suitability requirements for "Single Subject Master Environmental Management", substantial differences between the admission requirements laid out in the Fachprüfungsordnung and the learning objectives of the completed degree program and the overall acquired qualification, which cannot be compensated by the acquisition of additional knowledge. Your degree will therefore not be recognised pursuant to § 4 paragraph 1 sentence 3 of the Statutes of the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel zur Anerkennung von Studienabschlüsse, Studien- und Prüfungsleistungen - Anerkennungssatzung of 12 May 2011 and access to the above mentioned Master program is rejected.

Same with me. Did you write Toefl/IELTS or you used letter of English proficiency?
