His people have decided that they want at best, sick representation and at worst, no representation. This only happens because of our structure. If the tax payer was responsible for his upkeep and his bills, who will pay or risk jail time to fund this sort of thing. If his folks were paying a third of their income to state will they not ask for a functional and effective tool of representation. Will they not be doing the arithmetic of how many days he will be fit for office and shaking their heads in dismay. Will any person or organisation employ an individual with a stroke to work.

The true test of popularity and desire of any contestant in an electoral process is how much it costs a people to put him or her there and keep such an individual for the duration of the assignment. I am certain that if the people shared the true cost of governance, they will naturally learn to make better electoral choices. Without restructuring Nigeria simply cannot develop.

He won probably because of how the APC is despised in most south south areas. But (God forbid), what if anything happens to him in the future? will he not be giving the APC candidate a better chance in the future to contest and probably win a re-run?! Wishing him a perfect recovery and a smooth tenure IJN.

All the incapacitated story is very unnecessary. The man is generally loved for his performance as a representative of a minority tribe even in South South. I cannot deny the fact that he was down with stroke but I see the hand of God in his life, because he has recovered well. Incapacitated man cannot lead his campaign himself na but this man was on ground during rallies across Isoko North and South.

The same dunces that voted for this man despite knowing he's suffering from stroke were the ones asking Buhari to resign because of health issues! Shameless hypocrites!

BrainyBrainer:
To all who have words against voting a man with stroke into an office, there are few things we refuse to see, some because of emotion and some due to ignorance. Immobility is never a disqualification for many offices. It is our rude psyche as a nation that has done led us to adopt it as a norm.
Will he need to be pushing carts in that office? NO!
Does the office he sought require physical strength to discharge his functions? NO!
Is he mentally fit? YES!
Most civil functions only require brain to deliver efficiently, and if he is found by his constituents to have been doing that excellently, there should be no noise but rather praises AS LONG AS IT IS NOT FOR CHEAP PERSONAL OR POLITICAL GAIN.
One of the most successful presidents in the history of the United State of America is Franklin D. Roosevelt. He was the 32nd President of the United States. Not only did he serve an unprecedented four terms in office, but he was also the first president with a significant physical disability. FDR was diagnosed with polio and confined to the wheelchair as a sitting POTUS. He successfully prosecuted World War II by leading the United States from isolationism to victory over Nazi Germany and its allies.
I am sorry for this.
Can you define stroke without bringing the brain into your definition? by definition "Stroke is a disease that affects the arteries leading to and within the brain".
i cannot tell if you're just funny or stupid,i hope it's the former.
imagine "Is he mentally fit? YES!" who told you that?

The same way the northerners are electing incapacitated president, so should the South. Una think say na only una sabi elect incapacitated people?
