We Won’t Recognise Buhari As President Beyond May 29 – Opposition Parties by ijustdey: 4:41pm On Feb 27, 2019
Olalekan Adetayo, Abuja

Opposition political parties under the aegis of the Coalition of United Political Parties have vowed not to recognise Muhammadu Buhari as Nigeria’s President beyond May 29, 2019.

They said they would ensure, within civil means, that Buhari did not enjoy what they called a stolen mandate based on his declaration as the winner of last Saturday’s presidential election.

The coalition’s national spokesman, Imo Ugochinyere, made the political parties’ position known in a statement made available to journalists in Abuja on Wednesday.

Ugochinyere urged Nigerians to continue to support opposition parties in their quest to retrieve the mandate for the rightful owner.

He said, “The opposition rejects the cooked and panel beaten figures and will not recognise General Muhammadu Buhari as the carrier of legitimate mandate beyond May 29, 2019.

Describing Buhari’s victory as pyrrhic, Ugochinyere claimed that there is evidence nationwide that the 2019 presidential election was a clear departure from the electoral gains made in 2015.

He said it was glaring that the ruling All Progressives Congress massively stole votes and suppressed votes of the opposition to such an extent that the election is the worst since Nigeria’s return to democracy 1999.

They should just calm down, and accept their loss, so that innocent Nigerians don't get caught up in the cross fire.

After all, if there should be crisis, they would all fly their family members abroad, and leave the poor masses to suffer, and die for nothing.

Atiku lost because of his selfishness, the injustice he committed againt Gej in 2015, has come back to hunt.

If he's truly a believer of democracy, then a peaceful Nigeria should be above his presidential ambition.

This one thinks buhari is joking with him. If El zazaky with intl sphere of influence or dasuki could stay in jail for years, this one will be picked up and locked up in Borno prisons if he tries any rubbish. CUPP without 10k votes

grin

Some piglets are still grunting when the international community have already started the congratulations

If you are optimistic, hardworking and play your own part....the next 4 years are likely bright.

If pessimistic and you pray for misery. By His Grace you would get it in abundance.

You don't have to like it, but Buhari is the CiC till 2023, God sparing us all

The election was rigged and the consequence are here to stay. Whatever Atiku will do let him do it fast so that like MKO Abiola ruggedness that earn the Yoruba's presidency in Obj,Atiku ruggedness should earn Nigerians how to conduct free and fair election.

There are many ways to distablise a govt for the next 4 years to make the govt worthless I think this is what is going to happened.

Besides the Yoruba who would have voted GEJ to maintain North- south rotational presidency foolishly back stab thinking they will ever become president from such system even as south east is yet to become president.

What will happen in Nigeria now is restiveness that will lead to coup or tarnish the Nigeria govt image.

This is not Jonathan, this is north north let's see how it go.

If this is not corrected all presidents will just be coming from K-States which is bad.

In as much as I do not support what INEC did ..Atiku should tread with caution so that those people close to him not push him to cause chaos in the country [M.K .O Abiola came to my mind ] I believe going to Court is the best he can do now

By the time wahala start [God forbid] ALL these people go run and leave him alone to carry his cross

I wish him the best of luck
