Atiku is currently 72yrs old. Contrary to what his marabouts have adadvised he should hang up his ambition to rule. If Presidency of Nigeria was in his destiny, after struggling for 27yrs to get there he would already be sworn in by now. There is no need fighting against fate. His fate is to be wealthy, he has succeeded in that, whether it happened through clean means or not. He has defected numerous times and tried under different political parties and against different opponents and it continiues to elude him. Nigeria has progressed into a new political climate beginning with this election cycle. We now have technocrats with double degrees and postgraduates and professional licenses contesting for elections. The days of ex military generals and uniformed men is gone.

Even though the constitution pegs qualification at Secondary School Leaving Certificate, in our private sector around the country competition for merit is above that level and no one today will get hired at a decent job for a decent wage based on secondary school certificate. We do not need to amend constitution because it is indeed possible to get a maverick with low academic achievements but a super nova intelligence in stratagem and one who can outperform even phd graduates in politics. However, let us accept that we and our society has progressed and evolved above the ordinary and we must therefore have above ordinary-expectations in our public sector as we do in our private sector.
Increasingly we are finding our public officials either have no qualification to match what they claim or have falsified credentials to meet qualification prerequisites. We should progress, not regress. Going forward we should apply Best Practice and attract properly credentialed and academic achievers into our public offices.

On this note, Atiku will not appeal in 2023 against candidtes like Osinbajo, Fashola, Soludo, Moghalu, Sowore, Hashim, Saraki, Ekweremadu, and so on...

Atiku should rest abeg!
