Tinubu the political sage of our time. My political role model and mentor. The JAGABAN of Africa. As a youth. If you wanna go far in politics, study how Tinubu plays the game of politics. This man is just too much abeg.

The Great Awo would be shaking his head in the grave. Young man, better study Awo and not Tinubu's amala and gbegiri politics

Awo time has gone. Time has changed. you can't compare the way politics was been played in the days of Awo to our time today. Anyways Tinubu is still a force to be reckoned with not just in South West, but Nigeria as a whole.

Principles, morals and virtues don't change. This is the very foundation on which Awo's Social political and philosophical ideals were built on. How can tinubu only copy the spectacles of Awo and not his thoughts?

Jagaban...he's the semblance of Awo in astute leadership (leading this pack of heavyweights is no mean feat) and political craftiness but far below Awo in developmental strides, Foresight and planning, political philosophy and ideology, social investment and as the advocate and defender of the Yoruba nation.

The Great Awo never personalised the commonwealth of Omoluabi. He rather went about educating his people to free them to think and make rational decisions for themselves.

Tinubu is the very opposite of what a true sophisticated nation Awo set about to achieve for omoluabi's. Thuggery and promotion of amala and gbegiri politics is what Tinubu has reduced a tribe known for it's bravery all through history from building sophisticated strong thriving and expanding Old Oyo empire now known as Tinubu's dynasty.

I recall Tinubu as governor. He appointed Igbos to his cabinet. Ben Akabueze who does national planing for Buhari, once did same for Lagos.

Tinubu had a spelling competition for young lads. Whoever won, was made governor for Lagos for a day. As in Tinubu literally vacated Alausa for the champ. He or she would travel with DSS escorts in Tinubus armoured jeep and wear his trademark cap, and seat on his seat. I recall, a certain Ebuka was the first beneficiary of this gesture. You need to see how Tinubu and his wife feted that boy. I was jealous.

Say what you like about Tinubu and Lagos, I've never witnessed large scale discrimination against Igbos.

Go to Lagos inland revenue service, you'd see Igbos working there. Are there no better educated Yorubas? Yet, Igbos are given some consideration.

I witnessed same in Ogun state.

Maybe, it's all these things that will make someone begin to imagine that Lagos is no man's land.

Sharap! As far as I'm concerned, Awo and Gani Fawehimi are the greatest Nigerians ever. I don't do sentiment on that
