For me
My name - First
My father''s name - Middle
My Surname - Last

So whatever my father's name is, that is my middle name weather English or native.
Anyways names are placed based on culture/tradition.
I've seen so many Ibos bearing 2 female names in their name, one Ibo and the other western then their surname follows. Maybe that's the norm in iboland.
From where I'm from in Rivers State our surname always remain the same from generation to generation, it's called a famity name/compound name, then our father's name comes before it as our middle name.

Our fathe's name before the compound name is always there for easy trace of your genealogy in the family.

Don't you think our native name should be our first name?
