Senator Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah takes the agenda for the recovery of Igbo economy to Lagos State

The Anambra South Senator-Elect and the National Coordinator of Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria (TAN), Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah has reassured ndị Igbo worldwide that he will keep promoting and protecting their socio-political and economic interests. Dr. Ubah who was elected on the platform of the Young Progressive Party (YPP) made this known on Tuesday in Lagos while leading the APC 2019 Governorship campaign meant to ensure the election of Barrister Sanwo-Olu as the state governor.

Addressing delegations of Igbo leaders, market leaders, town leaders and TAN, Dr. Ubah maintained that after extensive deliberations and consultations with key stakeholders in Lagos state while giving due consideration to the manifesto of every contestant, TAN has no doubt that Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu represents the Next Level that Lagos state is in dire need of. He added that Sanwo-olu's antecedents speak volume of his rare qualities and represent the group's vision and passion for a greater Lagos State and that the group (TAN) is proud to have endorsed his candidature and subsequent emergence as the Governor of Lagos State.

Recall that during the just concluded Presidential and National Assembly elections, there were reported cases of civil unrest and intimidation of ndị Igbo in their most populated area. While addressing the issue, Dr. Ubah stated that there's need for ndị Igbo's businesses, properties and lives to be protected in Lagos since they have been major contributors in the revenue generation of the state. He further urged ndị Igbo to support and vote for Barrister Sanwo-olu as he will definitely protect the interest of Igbos in the state.

Responding to question from the members of the press, one of the leaders in the market made it clear and clean on what was agreed at the closed door meeting with Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah and leaders of Lagos State, he stated that "Ifeanyi Ubah of Capital oil, visited us at Aspamda trade fair with Tininbu and we have entered into agreement and every hiccups have been resolved, and we as Igbos have decided to work together with him for our common interest, and we agreed that we do ours and live every other things to him if he disappoints us we can stone him, details will follow later, just start preparing your mind for voting his candidate lets do ours and see what will happen.
Let's us shake hand across the Niger this time.
Only for Lagos we are interested please".
