Gunmen suspected to be hired assasins have shot Nnamdi Nsorom who is an aid to the Imo state Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) Imo west senatorial candidate Jones Onyereri. IGBERE TV authoritaively report.

Source closed to Nsorom who spoke with IGBERE TV correspondence says he was shot at the front of Jones Onyereri’s house behind concord Hotel in Owerri, Imo state.

IGBERE TV gathered that the ugly incidence happened on Thursday morning.

The Imo state PDP, publicity secretary, Damian Opara who further confirmed the report to IGBERE TV correspondent says the victim has being hospitalized in an undisclosed hospital in the state.

IGBERE TV understands that Jones Onyereri who is a member to a House Of Representatives Committee Chairman on Banking and Currency contested for senate for Imo west senatorial zone but was defeated by Governor Rochas Okorocha who has since been declared Senator-elect of Imo west senatorial zone.

IGBERE TV had earlier reported that the returning Officer for the Imo West senatorial election in the just concluded Presidential and National assembly election ,Prof Innocent Ibeawuchi, alleged that he was forced to declare Governor Rochas Okorocha the winner of the poll by the supporters of the All Progressives Congress candidate.
