Coalition Applauds Ndi-Enugu for Re-electing Gov. Ugwuanyi, Urge Opposition to Concede Defeat

Enugu Youth Coalition has applauded the electorates in Enugu State for re-electing Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for his second term of office.

In a release to newsmen in Enugu on Sunday, the group said Ndi-Enugu have once again demonstrated their preference for democracy over any other form of governments by their peaceful conducts before, during and after the elections.

The statement signed by the national coordinator of the coalition, Dr. Edwin Obune noted that ''by re-electing Gburugburu for the second time, the people have made their choice for continuity known and we call on the opposition parties and their respective candidates to respect such decision by accepting defeat in good fate without bitterness."

The group however condemned the circumstances that led to the death of an election observer in the state praying God to grant the deceased eternal rest.

While congratulating the governor for his re-election, the group prayed God to grant him the wisdom, protection and good health to continue with his good works for the state in his second term.

The group however called on the opposition to join hands with the governor-elect in moving the state to it's destined place among the states in Nigeria, saying the race started in praise and it has ended in praise to the glory of God.

Indeed, Enugu State is in the Hands of God!
