The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has taken the lead in Kano state as the results of Saturday’s governorship election from 43 out of the 44 LGAs in the state were presented by the INEC Returning Officer at the state collation centre early Monday.

Abba Kabir Yusuf of the PDP is contesting against the incumbent governor and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.


Currently, PDP now polled 951,531 votes as against APC’s 935,451 votes.

Thus, PDP is leading with a margin of 16,080 votes in the state.


Only that of Nasarawa local government area is yet to be presented, our reporter observed.

The Northerners keep showing that they understand the political terrain more than some people think. Votes should be based on the individuals vying for political offices and not merely because somebody is running on one party's ticket.

The person that did that video released it strategically when he could no longer be replaced by the APC.

Any attempt to force him out as at that time would have fatally affected Buhari's chances.

What of Kaduna, Plateau, Bauchi and Sokoto? Am interested in Kaduna no report yet. I hope votes were counted in the bolded text?. It is alleged that votes weren't counted in Abia as the elections were rigged. Although PDP won Delta state, the elections were rigged in many local government as allegedly said by friend.
