The Boeing Company, ranked as the world’s largest aircraft manufacturer has recently been on the spot for the wrong reasons, especially now that its latest aircraft model has twice been in accidents that have led to the loss of over 300 lives.

The latest version of Boeing best-selling 737 family was on Sunday thrust into the spotlight after a fatal crash in Ethiopia. This came barely months after a deadly crash involving an identical brand-new jet in Indonesia.

A Nairobi-bound Boeing 737 MAX 8 operated by Ethiopian Airlines crashed minutes after takeoff from Addis Adaba, killing all 157 on board. The same model flown by Lion Air crashed off the coast of Indonesia in October, killed all 189 on board.
