Borno government write whatever result they like because there is no one to monitor the elections.
Boko haram will be sustained for many years to come to protect this easy source of votes.

We sit in the south here and utter rubbish. You've never been to bornu, you don't know the land mass, you don't know the terrain yet you make stupid comments and try to pass them as facts.
1. Bornu as a state is bigger than some 3 states in the East or West put together
2. Bornu has a population of between 4-5 million people
3. Despite the attacks from Boko Haram and the unfortunate loss of lives the numbers are not as most assume
4. Most attacks are around the the villages. The main towns experience suicide bombings
5.Civil unrest, militant attacks and even war does not stop people who are determined to vote from voting.

The problem with we Southerners is, while others are out voting, we're at home collating results. Classic example is Lagos with over 5million PVC collected, less than a million votes recorded. We're good at doing exactly what we do Everytime.... Complain.
We don't take action. All we do is complain. We're are the lords of the internet.. the Facebook warlords and the Twitter warriors.
They do the voting. We do the collating and complaining. Continue.

Lol. The election in Borno was very unnecessary! grin

this is better compared to Enugu.

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won in all the 17 local government areas and polled 449,935 votes to defeat his closest rival and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ayogu Eze, who scored 10,423 votes.

this is 95.54% compared to winner in Borno with 94.88%

When did registration for PVCs take place& how many people were registered? So if those who voted are up to 70% of collected PVC, what does that portend? Should that b a problem?

It took place the same time it took place all over the country, and is only cumulative of those previously registered for the 2015 election.

70% is just an expression of high voter turnout, which could suggest that votes were allotted to maximize the available collected PVCs, but that would have to be well proven that indeed voting did not take place but votes allocation.

See below.

Over 2 million and counting had already collected PVCs out of a registered 2.3million.

So that about 1.2million voted in the governorship, is no problem at all.

That's about 60% voter turn out.

It is only people like you that think Borno is still not peaceful. Book haram hardly attacks these days unlike 2015 hence the huge difference. BTW, its only a hypocrite that will be okay with PDP winning everywhere in the east but complains when APC does the same in the NE and NW

If according 2u voter registration took place b4 d 2015 elections, that means a whole lot of voters also picked up their PVCs in that period bearing in mind that Bornu recorded one of d highest turn out in 2015.

If we had approximately 2.3m registered voters in Bornu& 2m PVCs collected leaving us a balance of 300,000. That's almost a 100%. D result released so far says approximately 1.2m just 4d APC candidate which will bring d total votes cast to lets say 1.5m leaving 500k among those who have collected PVCs.

There are many people in IDP camps or who went thru IDP camps. Are we saying that while running 4 their lives, they remembered to collect their PVCs? Are we saying that all these people in IDPs have their PVCs? Are we saying that those that lost their homes& property didn't loose their PVCs in d process?

4a state that has experienced such loss of life, its amazing that these numbers exceed that of even some peaceful states even in d north

Beyond the figures, I see an evaluation of the fight against BH. This is an expression of their satisfaction of government efforts in dealing with the terrorists. These people saw hell in the hands of boko harem under PDP regime. Those who think the FG has not succeeded in the fight against BH should have a rethink.
The numbers have spoken. You can be far away from the battle zone and be making noise that the security has not improved in the North East . He who wears the shoe knows where it pinches. PDP is synonymous to sad memories to them.

The total votes cast should not be more than 1.25m.

60% turn out is good enough to reflect displaced people. Besides, the IDPs were already existing prior to 2015, while anyone newly displaced after 2015, had the whole reregistration period to migrate polling unit to the current one.

So there is nothing fishy to having 60% voter turnout, especially when such people are motivated to participate in the political process.

Whether d IDPs were pre 2015 or post 2015, it doesn't resolve d issues I raised. It doesn't resolve d question about how all these IDPs & victims of war were able to salvage their PVCs while on d run 4 their lives. Results in Bornu slightly surpasses that of Jigawa, a peaceful state. I don't no how that happened. Whoever wins in d state is up 2d people of d state. But these numbers are mind blowing.

There is nothing mind blowing about 60% voter turn out.

I have already told you that voter registration has been done again all over Nigeria since 2015, such that any displaced person after the last one, has had the opportunity to relocate their polling unit, or to have a new registration if not previously registered.

And these are highly motivated refugees who identify with Buhari and APC, for the succour they have been steadily receiving from the government.

So I don't see why any other state should record a higher turnout than Borno who have remained on their toes for years, while other states are busy shopping in supermarkets and enjoying the weekend at cinemas.
