Saving and investing is a journey I believe most materially successful people embark on. Saving and Investing is crucial yet we mostly don't know how to go about it because it's most times confusing. You're not alone, I also do get confused as to what the best options are but we must not figure it out alone.

Below are some tips on how you can make some money in this our country Nigeria. These tips won't make you a millionaire overnight but if you persevere and follow instructions correctly, just expect your future to be bright.

Before we go into it, these are some habits you have to kill off to save up more money or have more money for investing. They are:

1. For watching TV instead of paying for your DStv or GOtv you can choose a streaming service like Netflix, IrokoTV, etc. This might sound like a bit much but since you're trying to cut down expenses go for streaming services or pay for your DStv. You should choose one. If you still feel like watching movies, youtube is an option. There are movies uploaded by people on this site you can download on the youtube mobile app and choose to watch later.
2. Pay off your debt, Start in small increments.

3. Stop spending all your time on social media. We most times buy multiple data bundles in a month and this isn't money wise. Limiting your self from social media can be quite good to the body and relieves you of the comparing yourself to others on social media

4. Stop complaining. Take action.

I didn't want this post to be long but let's go to the real deal. Ways to save money:

a. Make better use of the money you have. Create a budget and Cut out unnecessary spending.

b. Make more money. You can do this by Selling nonessential items in your home, get a side job and/or invest your savings.

c. Keep More of Your Money in Your Wallet or Savings Account. Set up automatic payments to your savings (there are some saving tools where you can get good interest in Nigeria). Source for more deals which help you spend less on your shopping, etc.
