Rabiu Kwankwanso - Very Silent, Very Efficient by Cantonese: 1:04pm On Mar 13, 2019
When in 2018 Alhaji Rabiu Kwankwanso decided he had seen enough of the APC he chose to return to his old and well known home and base, PDP. To the powers in charge within the APC it did not matter.

Having informed us all through his spokesman about his plan, he eventually decamped. One thing was very pronounced about the composure of Alhaji Rabiu Kwankwanso and that was his silence. Upon his decamping he promised to remove Ganduje from the governor's office. Ganduje told Kwankwanso that mathematically it would never happen. Ganduje was banking on the popularity of Buhari in the north west forgetting that Kwankwanso is an iroko tree. Kwankwanso kept his silence.

Kwankwanso planned to visit his own state, Kano, but the governor, Ganduje, claiming all sorts of negatives ensured that Kwankwanso remained in Abuja. Kwankwanso kept his silence and faced his work. Ganduje at all opportunities would tell us how he had worked so hard, how Kwankwanso had become nobody in Kano, how members of PDP had decamped to APC and how he single handedly would deliver 5 million votes to Buhari. Kwankwanso kept silent. Shekarau went back to APC along with Professor Hafiz, the deputy governor and others, Kwankwanso kept silent.

One day Kwakwanso visited Kano and the great Kwankwansiyya movement came alive again. Campaign also came and Ganduje saw the intimidating crowd. Ganduje said the crowd was fake! Kwankwanso kept silent.

Election came in Kano. Voters thumbprinted to Buhari. Ganduje's political blindness did not let him think about possibilities in his political future. He failed to read the political barometer. He thought that with what he saw during the presidential election, Kano state was already in the bag for APC. When Bola Tinubu was calling the different caucuses in the south west and compelling them to vote APC with good assurances upon their successes, no such from Ganduje and as usual we did not hear Kwankwanso's voice.

Governorship election came on the 9th of March and after counting of the votes we saw with Kwankwanso how it pays to know your group and work underground. PDP currently leads APC with roughly 26,000 votes. So far Kwankwanso has delivered over 1 million votes to PDP. Kwankwanso has still maintained his silence. Ganduje has failed to deliver 1 million votes at a time in the two elections so far.

Ganduje has been going to the press to say "no shaking". Ganduje should be reminded that " na like play butterfly dey enter bush". How can Ganduje overcome the margin now seeing that Kwankwansiyya movement will ensure that PDP get most of the votes with the clear and very honest CP in Kano state who has ensured fairness and equity.
Kwankwanso has still maintained his silence and has been doing his work underground. It is said that "action speaks louder than words".

Ganduje going...going!

This Kano voted Sai Bubu but dumped Gandollar yet some people would claim there are no brains in the North.

Ganduje is only losing because of his bribery video. The slim margin is enpugh evidence. Nothing like Kwankwaso effect

It's politics. If me and ganduje is sharing his gandollars with 10k people, they would vote for him. Besides, isn't it unreasonable not to expect some people to be brainless anyway?

youre right with all your statements but the smartness of the northern populace hasnt translated to much development...let them continue to hold their leaders more accountable and demand higher quality of life

They are holding their leaders very much more accountable and are demanding higher quality of life than they used to! Or do you just not know how oppressed they had been in the past and how many more schools and people they have in mainstream education today compared? Just imagine what you'd have said if gangan had won! Imagine if we Nigerians had let Atiku get his grubby fingers on our loot too - would that not be saying, "we want to suffer some more please, de one wey we suffer reach neva do"?

I'm delighted they kicked out gangan whatever the margin. It shows they got some brain, at least.

Vote help me, and us. Does your vote not help you?

We "improve our standard of living and embrace western education" by voting in leaders who steal less of our money and spend it on education instead!

So why are your educational standards and level so poor?

Boko haram did not just start when you began hearing it on the news. Followers of Maitatsine had been promoting the "purification" of Islam which, according to them, was corrupted by the West and its modernising education from way back in the 70s. And even Maitatsine was building on shoulders of ideas that date back to the 1900s.

Because our start base was poor. Western school is new to the North at least for we masses.
