Ever since I saw a lady who so injured by ceiling fan that fell,I don't use that thing at home anymore

The fan is spinning and they did not bother to change it ?,what type of country is this biko? All the tokunbo cars electric iron tv fridge we are using un thid country is still working perfectly Ok still the white people thst used it decided to change and get new ones ,but in our own case common to change damaged eletric fan is problem, had it been that a student died from this incident his or her fellow students will blame village people,

stop blaming the devil. No ceiling fan work pass Church ceiling fans. There should be a maintenance check every 6 months

FGN should ban all ceiling fans in the interest of safety, every one should hire a pigmy from the Congo with a hand fan to fan them every night, this will save electricity. Create jobs for the fan makers, and save lives

please receive sense. maintenance check should be carried out but of course jn this part of the world we have a very poor maintenance culture. leave the devil out of your self I ducked misfortunes

Lawd have mercy! I can assure you that the devil had nothing to do with that. If your church had a good maintenance plan, that wouldn't have happened.

A standing fan is better. Even if the ceiling fan doesn't fall, staying under a ceiling fan is dangerous health-wise.

Had similar experience in my 100 level at OAU in 2009. The incident was in my room at Angola Hall, Rm. J5. Rather than replace old fans with new ones, Mr. Kuku (of blessed memory) decided to repair and repaint the fans. The one fixed in my room was a disaster waiting to happen. On the fateful day, no sooner had my roommate passed under the fan than it fell on the ground with a loud bang. Everyone scampered thinking it was bomb that exploded, when we later discovered it was the fan, we were mad at Kuku and so happy for the guy that escaped injury or death by the whiskers.
