Teaching is one of the most misunderstood profession, many people don't understand the dedication and hard work that it take to be a good teacher, teachers deserve to be respected more, but their is a stigma associated with the profession that will no go away any time soon. The following myths derive this stigma making the job even more difficult than it already is. Most teachers often spend a few hours on weekend working in their class room, sacrifice time at home for activities such as grading papers and preparing for the next day, they are always on the job because they have certain set of rules and expectations that every student is expected to follow, no teacher is perfect there may be times we come too hard on a student this often result out of frustration when a student refuses to respect the rules of the school, it means we care enough about them to correct their behavior before it becomes uncorrectable, today teachers are undervalued and underappreciated, this is sad considering the tremendous impact that teachers have on daily basis, teachers are some of the most influential people in the world, yet the profession is continuously mocked instead of being revered and respected, a large majority of people have misconceptions about teachers and don't truly understand what it takes to be an active teacher, they don't understand the daily challenges that teachers across the country most overcome to maximise the education their children receive, misconceptions will likely continue to fuel perception on the teaching profession until the general public understand the facts about teachers, please respect your teachers because they played a vital role on who we are today.
