|Why Study Public Health? by elektra(f): 5:09pm On Sep 05, 2010|
I am currently studying Biotechnology and i was looking for options for masters.
I came across public health and tropical medicine, based on the course outline it looks interesting
But i am not sure what kind of jobs are out there for me should i study this course.
I would like your advice on what i could do with this course.

Well based on your earlier study program i think going with the option of public health will be good for you as you can work with international organizations who are in africa to develop solutions for preventable diseases. Public health deals mostly with the preventive side of medicine and we really need that alot in africa since many people die of preventable disease like malaria.
So if u think u got what it takes in terms of ideas and innovations then go for it, you can also set up a consultancy firm and work with African governments in this regard as well.
