“Hon Temitope Olatoye, famously known as Sugar, who represents Lagelu/Akinleye constituency of Oyo State in the federal House of Representatives, was making the journey from his village after casting his vote in the governorship election of Saturday, March 9, 2019, when some political thugs ambushed him and assailed him with a hail of bullets”.


Some years back, when you hear the name ‘SUGAR’ in Federal college of Education,.Osiele-Abeokuta; to some folks it means terror, oppression and brutality and cruelty.
Olatoye was a very young champ during his early days in college. An handsome dude as they ‘say’.
I was fortunate to know ‘Sugar’ personally, I had serial encounter with this fellow in year 2006. I had my high school education around FCE-Osiele, Abeokuta environs when he wields the sceptre of No.1 ‘Baba nla’ at FCE-Osiele. Back then Sugar was a very popular dude on the soil of FCE and Osiele-Abeokuta environs.
Sugar was a gentle and cool dude who is full of natural charm.
A source said on social media that his trouble started when he was aspiring for the post of the President- Student Union government (SUG) of Federal college of Education, Osiele-Abeokuta. He was busted like three (3) times before withdrawing from the elections.
Sugar wants to be in power by all means; so he opted in for revenge, he strategized and met some of his friend, they decided to join OPC, by and large, his initial reasoning to take revenge against his cult rivals, but alas he started gaining much needed supports from the primitives’ indigenes of Osiele community.
Moreover, it was revealed that ‘SUGAR’ maneuvered his way and got in contact with the then Governor of Ogun-state (Otunba Gbenga-Daniel) he was later appointed as a supervisory councilor in Odeda local government.
However, after so many brutalities, wickedness and frequent killings committed by SUGAR and his killer squad ; Ologbowon,Ozogula students, indigenes and cult rivals were fed-up with his atrocities, he was bursted severally, luckily for SUGAR, he escaped and relocated to Ibadan, he later contested for the seat of House of Representatives, representing Lagelu/Akinyele in 2015 which he won.
Sugar was very instrumental to Ajimobi governorship (2011-2018)
