According to the story, the ship known by the name Grand America sank off the coast of France in earlier this month. This happened after a fire incident in one of the containers. Many cars were lost including precious 911s. The boat contained many cars which were up to two thousand in unit. Other cars involved in the accident include Audi A3, A5, Q7, RS4 and RS5 versions.

Just when we are worried about the aftermath of that delivery boat disaster, Porsche has brought smiles back to the faces of its customers. Despite the huge loss from recent happening, Porsche is bent on redeeming the loss of those cars. The company has already restarted the production of 911 GT2 RS model. This information was reported by Carscoop. This is a fresh start from the defunct 991 GT2 RS. The boat that was meant to deliver cars to the Mexican clients sank even before reaching its destination. This move is primarily an attempt by Porsche in replacing some of those cars.

Porsche had already concluded the production of GT2 RS in February, but the company is charged with the responsibility to deliver cars to clients that have been denied possession of their purchased car due to the sea catastrophic. The company was lucky not to lose some of its cars to other parts as none were due to locate their way to the new Porsche cathedral in Palm Springs.

Porsche denied any claim that its cars were lost in the incident that occurred in this ship. But Carscoop were tipped off in a letter of apology from the marque to potential customer, it reads thus:

"We are sorry to inform you that, due to a fire, a Grimaldi group ship that was transporting your vehicle sank on March 12, 2019. For that reason, your GT2 RS cannot be delivered."

The letter indicates that the resumption of the production is due to Porsche commitment in serving its loyal customers. So, if you are affected by this disaster, expect your car to be delivered soon as the company has ignited production to meet up.
