Abuja city experienced one of the best events of the year yet, last Saturday, at the Johnnie Jazz & Whisky show which held at Central Park Abuja and had everything to make it fun packed.

Security was up to the task of securing the lives and personal belongings of the guests was a breath-taking atmosphere.

Unlike other events, this show had a black carpet moment which kicked off the thrill with guests taking pictures at the picture stand while other beautifully dressed guests enjoyed their cocktail.

At the same time, the band trilled the audience with an electrifying Jazz performance and followed this with a series of coded vibes that the audience also found thrilling. The band sang different songs from different artistes which really got a lot of people in dancing mood.

There was enough food and drinks to serve the people as they savoured the good music that filled the air that night. But it was the appearance of Niniola on stage in an amazing black jumpsuit and heels, that really got people dancing wildly and shouting. She was at her best and those who love the command in her voice when she does her thing didn’t hide their excitement as they sang along, danced and shouted at the top of their voices.

Patoranking was next after the sensational Niniola and his presence took the show to another level. His performance with a live band was all his friends needed to go hyper. He confessed he shared the same excitement with his fan in an interview after the show. According to him, apart from not really knowing how to describe his feelings, he could give a hug to everyone to show just how happy he was about being in Abuja. ‘‘The event was wonderful, the fans were wonderful and it was worth sharing my musical talent with them.’’

When the living legend, Shina Peters, came on stage, the audience was already charged up. So charged up that every time he attempted to end his performance, the audience found a way of forcing him to extend it instead. He didn’t disappoint his fans as they kept asking the band to play a tune for him to give them more.

The audience definitely had fun and the organisers were happy that the event was a success and this year’s was really better than last years.
