On the 20th of March 2019, activist Deji Adeyanju took to his Twitter page to “clear the air” after a post in the Vanguard Newspaper had reported that disagreement over money was the cause of Deji Adeyanju leaving the advocacy group, OurMumuDonDo he had founded with Nigerian musician, Charley Boy.

The newspaper had cited an anonymous source who had said that the lack of ‘transparency and accountability (in the finances of the group) was at the center of it (the rift)’ But Deji Adeyanju denied this claim, saying that he left the group because Charley Boy had “collected money from (the government) to do a video against the main opposition candidate-Atiku and also to stop attacking Buhari.”
