Contrary to the days of old when our forefathers see a gas cylinder as a threat at home having the utmost feeling that the whole household would get burnt anytime there is a leakage from it. They also believed that it is only the riches that use it, and of course, this is true because of its price then.
Some years back, considering the price of kerosene compared to the price of the gas cylinder and its refilling, many households found it more comfortable (though in the real sense, it is not) and economical to use kerosene for cooking, even though pots were stained with black substance from the flame. Nowadays, due to the change in the price of the two as well as the cooking comfort in using the gas cylinder, barely all household have resulted in using it.

Many at times, in the middle of cooking (especially very late in the night or very early in the morning when the chance of getting it refilled at a gas station is zero) the flame goes off due to exhaustion of the compressed liquid gas and one gets frustrated. Hey! there is now a quick solution!
Turn off the valve of the gas cylinder
Put cold water in a big bowl, big enough to contain the gas cylinder.
Put the gas cylinder into the bowl, ensuring the water covers at least one-third of the gas cylinder
Wait for about 2 minutes and light up the gas cylinder. The flame is back!
N.B. the flame can be on for 20 minutes or more depending on the temperature (how cold) of the water in the bowl.
