Everyday Nigerian glorified secondary schools(private universities) keep on black mailing it's students to conform with its rules because they know admission its hard to get admission outside of private schools. I just hope this country will be better one day so students unable to gain admission will be able to gain admission to better public schools.

The annoying thing about all this is that such schools do not really produce morally sound people .

Most of those rules are harsh.

They are trying to curb unseriousness, probably theft in a very harsh way.

Op don't get it wrong. This circular was issued in order to curb theft in the hostels. My laptop was stolen in 2016 with my phone. I couldn't have held the portal responsible. I wept and till today I have not recovered

It is for the best. Since many of the students are stubborn this measure will checkmate them

That is the misconception many Nigerians have about private universities but the reality on ground shows that many parents take loan to send their kids there. Cultism still strive in many public universities that is why many parents that are not financially buoyant take loan to send their kids to religious universities.

Be doing fake freedom fighter on faceless forum there... did they blindfold you when you were signing to abide by rules?
If there is one big thing wrong with Nigeria today, it is the open disregard for rules and regulation.
How can a man sign up to obey rules only to gain admission and start forming freedom fighter because of peer pressure?

At times I wonder how many think. With the level of exposure many Nigerians still have shallow mindset and thinking faculty.

People make sacrifices to train their wards through private schools in a bid to avoid our public system and it is painful seeing others who don't believe in such just condemning.
