A lot of people do not progress beyond the job interview stage in their job search, this is frustrating but however, passing an interview may not be about your grade in school, but about how you answer the questions. Below are steps to guide you on how to answer interview question. Happy reading

Question:. Can I meet you / Who are you / Can you tell us about yourself / Introduce yourself

Answer: This is an open ended question which creates the first impression about you, and it’s likely to be the first question you would be asked. It’s your chance to introduce yourself from background to qualifications to your good work and habits, etc. Keep your introduction mostly work and career related.

Question: Why do you want to leave your current job? /Why did you leave your last job?

Answer: Be careful about how you would respond to this question as it may increase/decrease your chance of being hired. Avoid statements that would tarnish the image of your past employers and making statements like, “I need to earn more money.” Instead, you could make generic statements such as, “I want to take a new challenge”,”I want to experience what working in this industry feels like”

Question: What are your strengths?

Answer: Talk about your green areas / positive attributes related to the job you are currently attending interview for.

Question: What are your weaknesses?
