The reason why no government in Africa will live up to the expectations of her people is most citizens envision democracy to be a uniform entity throughout the world. There is nothing like a Uniform Code of Democracy, where one opens section 01.2(c) to find out what a clause says pertaining to particular situations.

The practice of democracy in the US is different from that of Britain. FYI, the practice is strange in Cambodia and differs from what the Indians are doing. In short, allow the seed of democracy to grow in Africa and in time, all will be fine.

It will be wrong to expect a government to tackle a particular situation the same way as the Brits or the Yankees will tackle it. Africa is a "babe" in this area. The transition to perfection will take time.

Would you want to see a uniform code of politics, a compilation of laws in a book that one could take and read to fetch answers to our political woes?

With kind regards,

who will set the ball rolling?

What ball?

No one is required to set any ball rolling as you questioned. Politics in Africa will have to go through the metamorphisis unitl it gets to an acceptable point. The politics we see and read about in the west in not perfect to say the least. Thus, it is an unnecessary burden that we place upon our governments for them to come out with instant solutions to our problems.

With kind regards,
