Why is it difficult to retrieve, is it because of its weight or size can't fit the hole?

Lol, Reminds me of how they catch monkeys using gourds with bananas inside. That hole allows your stretched hand entry but once its bunched or carries something, forget it. Monkeys won't let go anyway, so they get nabbed. Nobody's taking that gold

Is there really a way to get the gold out or they are just messing with people?
