Yesterday, in Lagos,  an articulated truck went up in flames

The incident occurred at the Ojota Bridge inward toll gates, along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

The fire incident saw the head of the truck consumed by fire.

It took the spirited effort of the indefatigable men of fire unit of the LASEMA Rescue Unit (LRU) to rescue the vehicle.

Officials of the LASTMA were also available to help, and to ensure that traffic was not impeded.

See photos below.

Don't expect us to praise their efforts for doing the job they're being paid for. angry

If there's discipline and everyone is competent in their various engagements, there'll be enormous growth and progress! cool

Anyway, good job!

Kudos to the fire men. But @op, nothing is rescued here. Nothing is left apart the back container. Still thumps up to the firemen anyway

The trailer completely blocked all the lanes in that section of the expressway.... but..... traffic was not impeded. Really?

Petrol cans on the side... were these in the cabin?...and tossed out before they exploded?...and just wondering why the trailer is across the roadway? ...too many unfit vehicles and matching drivers.

You guys need to stop being petty menh. Yes, as you said, they are doing what they are being paid for, yet it wouldn't be out of place to appreciate their effort. Even in the US and other western countries that you guys always cite as examples, people still appreciate such effort despite being paid handsomely. So, let's give appreciation where it's due, to encourage them to do more.
