The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, behold the lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world(john 1 vs 29)

When Adam disobeyed God, the consequence was spiritual death(Gen2vs17) which is a complete separation from God. The bible says, "Wherefore as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sin" (Romans 5vs17)
However, God immediately introduced the sacrifice of bulls and goats as atonement for sin. This was the order with the children of Israel in the old testament, for without the shedding of blood, there couldn't be remission for sin (Heb 9vs22)

Nevertheless, the bible lets us know that the sacrifice of bulls and goats couldn't take away sin "For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins" (Heb 10vs4)God then activated a grand way for man's total salvation by sending Jesus Christ. Man's salvation was consummated when Jesus Christ the lamb of God was offered to take away the sins of the world (John 1vs25). The bible calls him "the lamb slain from the foundation of the world."

By his death on the cross, Jesus bore our sins and washed them away with his blood , once and for all. He paid the ultimate price for sin, which man had incurred without a means of settlement. Hebrews 9vs12 says, "Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us."

Christ has paid for the remission of your sins. Now, you're washed, sanctified, and justified, free from sin, death, and destruction.

Prayer of repentance

Dear God, i thank you for divine gift. I thank you for your son who you gave to pay the price for my sin. I believe that his blood was shed for me and i accept him as my lord and personal savior. Amen
