If jonathan wins the next election that means he has destroyed the chances of the Ibos to produce the next president at the end of Yar'adua's 8 year term in 2015. When jonathan's eight year term expires, the next president do or die must  be a northerner who will also be on seat for eight years. Maybe the Ibos should support a northern candidate so that if he wins and his 8 year term expires in 2018 or whatever, they will have a better chance to ''smell'' the seat in the near future. At least that will make the Biafrans among them to become Nigerians again.

If that dosent happen, I wonder if the Ibos will ever produce a president cos no one know whether Nigeria will last for 16 years more.

This is a very stupendous thread. Must every one start a thread about Ndigbo and 2011. Why not post this junk on the already existing 2011 threads. Some jobless freaks do not think of anything else in their miserable low souls except the Igbo.
I spit on this moronic thread. Nonsense.

It is a shameless maggot like you who is dull and your entire castrated maggotic family that is dull not Ndigbo.
You are looking for cheap popularity with your mere 83 posts, sorry you have failed. Mystical beast.

I could care less. Nigeria is not even suppose to exist in the next 16 years. First worry about 2011 Mr. Poster before saying that the IGBO (Not Ibo) may never see the presidency.

Well, this is where short-sighted and completely selfish and shameless leaders lead a country.

You have painted a scenario that extends from here to 2019, while you don't even know what will happen to Nigeria in January for sure.

Here is another scenario for you that is just as scary: Jonathan is disallowed from contesting or it becomes obvious that his loss is a gang-up by a section of the nation. Niger-Delta militancy reaches the point of no return. For a good example, Southern Sudan is about to secede based on the same kind of issues - believe me this is where Nigeria will head.

And another scenario - the election of Jan. 2011 becomes unusually controversial and violent, Boko Haram steps in, Niger-Delta militants steps, OPC steps, Biafra re-emerges or even worse the military thinks it see an advantage and steps in. The only question under this scenario is how many pieces of Nigeria do you want?

The best answer is to have an issue based election, and then raise a mighty campaign that forces the issue of true Federalism on whoever wins the election!

The Igbo's would not clinch any Presidency at anytime in our history if they chose to play politics as if they are in relay race. Passing the baton Poltics is unheard off and stuff of Kindergaten or pre-school politics, that Bullsh*t that IBB is saying is inconceivable and inpracticaible.

Does the Igbo think the Yoruba's, Edo's, Igala's,Hausa/Fulani's and the Beroms would fold their arms while the most coveted sit in the nation is giving to them on a platter of gold without a fight, unless the Igbo's can come out with a clean and sincere candidate who have not gotten a corruption plague hanging over his neck, it is then one can think of that possiblity, that kind of personalty is thin on the ground in the SE, WHY hand over the Presidency to ANYONE of those established rogues parading themselves as a potential VP to IBB.

What the Igbo's should do is look for someone savvy enough that can play politics the way guile and smart politicians have played politics all over the world. This cry baby attitude would not cut it in Nigeria now or in the future. The Igbo's had better learn to walk, playing the victim in a war is not good enough reason why every other tribe in the land would put their own and collective ambition of their people on hold so as to appease the Igbo's.

The Igbo's can climb the roof top and shout out to all that Biafra is the only way out for them since they have being denied the Presidency, that would not move anyone, they should learn to play poltics the way it has always being played one day it would be their turn being obsess with the Presidency would not cut it.

Ribadu is not a Yoruba man and I can categorically say he would get more votes amongst the Younger Yorubas if he runs head to head against Jonathan. Why is he popular in the SW, BECAUSE he is passionate about a cause which a lot of people can identify themselves with.

Do not try the Igbo. That is a WARNING.

Remember we are the only people who have been known to shake Nigeria to its core. No other tribe has been able to do this.

If you think the Ndi Igbo cower from anyone, you are sadly mistaken. We are ready for anything. That is why many of our brothers have been stockpiling weapons just case another conflict arises.

Why is everyone so worried about the Igbo. Are you that scared of our progress. Dont worry about igbo being president, worrying about your own tribesman becoming president. Its not by force that you vote for an igbo.If you have a problem with us then dont vote for us,its as simple as that.Whatever comes out of the situation its on you. Nigeria is a "democracy" you can vote for whoever you want to.

So Blackmailing and Violence MEND's instrument of choice is the only way Igbo's can acheive their ambition of becoming  President. I know a lot Igbo's would rather have a theiving and Journalist bashing Igbo Governor selected OR Coronated as the President than have a dove of a man with good intention for the nation from any other tribe.  Some of u Igbo folks really need to examine yourselves.  undecided

I am getting tired of this Igbo this and Igbo that. 50 years ago, 45 years ago, many of these Yorubas would not be able to dictate to us what Igbos should be doing.

We were the people doing the running of this nation. The nerve that the children and grandchildren of the people who defeated us think they can tell us what to do.

The only thing they are doing is making the Ndi Igbo angry. And when we are on the war path that will be the day Nigeria ends.

Dont mind them its just their fear of non-relevance. We surpass them in everything already. Look for you non-igbos information we are voting for whoever we want when ohanaeze makes the decision, when i get back to nigeria this december, then thats who im voting for whether you like it or not grin

I wouldn't worry too much about the so called Niger delta militants. They can't do anything to Nigeria if Igbos don't support them.
But you better be afraid of what Igbos will do to Nigeria if it becomes obvious to us that we cannot produce a Nigerian president even as the single largest tribe in Nigeria.
That is what you should worry about.
Even northerners know this.
