And they voted him again or couldn't stockpile arms in mosques (as they did in 2015) ready and willing to kill when he was forced on Nigerians? The deceit is yet to pay off.

In democractic rule...voting for someone does not mean that you can never be critical of that person.

Many Northerners voted for Buhari...but that does not mean they are completely happy.

Another thing about democracy, there is no such thing as a perfect candidate. You vote for the lesser of the two evils.(People like me who chose to vote for neither...are in the minority)

Buhari has spent 6 years in office and is out by 2023.

Omar Al bashir has been in power for 30 years.

Buhari ceased power in 1983, so I think he was planing to hand over power in 4 years?

Being a multi ethnic and a multi religious country will hinder this from happening in Nigeria.

And that's why we have bad leadership, to say nothing of prolonged millitary rule

One former millitary ruler once said that if Nigerians did not fear death and came out on the street everytime there was a coup, he and his guys would have given up power.

Algeria and Sudan are different from Nigeria.

Algeria has had a president who spent 20 years in power...and was always changing the laws to give himself extra terms.

Sudan had Omar Al Bashir, who took power in a coup, transformed himself into a civilian president, and also kept himself in power by continued elongation.

Then throw in the fact that the opposition has been divided.

Nigeria?... Since we had democracy come back in 1999...the only leader who has tried tenure elongation is Obasanjo...and we know that he lost out. Even his own supporters refused to back him.

GEJ...if he had won in 2015, would have retired by now.

Buhari has basically indicated that he is going by 2023.

Nigeria is a mess....but when it comes to democracy, we are better than some other countries.

You are right on the this but there are still a tonne of things to protest about...let's start with the SARS issue! Their menace isn't going away anytime soon!

Gbagbo, Gadaffi, Abacha comes to mind.....

These ones don't love suffering n smiling.

Only Nigerians love suffering and smiling....
But they loved to be suffered and smiling for 30 yrs, while those of Gadaffi, and Gbagbo loved suffering for over 40 years?
Nonsense.
Nigeria is not good. I accept. But mind you, what happens in those countries can never happen in Nigeria. Whether you will agree with me or not, Nigeria still remains largest democracy in Africa, though we are yet to get there. The kind of rights and freedom you enjoy here are absent in those countries. Go and and ask Lybia returnees.

Algeria President quit due to protests and country remains stable because the West were not invited to bring their fake Freedom and democracy.
Al Bashir quits due to protests and country remains stable because America was not involved.
Gaddafi murdered by US led NATO due to protests and country remains in a civil war since 2011 with serious fighting happening now in Tripoli between Field MArshall Khalifa Haftar and the UN/EU and US backed puppet Govt.

Africa dont need the west in its internal politics
