What Will This Country Be Like If Pidgin Is Banned? by Advin(m): 8:42pm On Jan 14, 2006
I was just thinking of what would happen if pidgin was banned in this country.
Motor parks would be very silent, Ijaw boys would stop talking, how do you think the country would be like without pidgin?

I think it would be a very good idea. Maybe I can start understanding what people are saying.
Re: What Will This Country Be Like If Pidgin Is Banned? by Seun(m): 9:34pm On Jan 14, 2006
No, it won't. You can teach people the language of your choice but you can't go about telling people what languages they can or can't speak in the country. There has to be freedom of speech, right?

Sign language will take over and fights go plenty.

5 mins ago, a guy wanted to narrate a story to me and he went like " nigeria peoples are mad. okada yen jus scratch the side of the body of the motor ..."
I just cut him short and was like "E do. wetin happen gan?". Then he expressed himself better in d popular jingo..

Lots of people cant speak good/proper english so how will dey communicate if pidgin is banned.
Like casper said.na sign language go take over. nigeria- land of the dumb

Ban is not possible anyway cuzz it cant be enforced.

E bami cofi e si jasket ki n lo spfrint e.

Why does it has to be Eastern Nigeria and not Southern Nigeria to be voided, after all Yoruba people speak more broken English than the Igbos.

i am sorry to be rude (and guys no offence intended) but if pidgin is banned (and this is my honest opinion), then the country will be [severely incapacitated]

i don't think it will but it will hurt the Igbos a lot. pidgin is like the ibo language.

most yorubas can speak yoruba anyways.

i lovee pidgin. i think it's cute
if it get banned (which i don't think it will) i'll invent "pig pidgin" (joking)
