I will only believe if he is convicted in a competent court and not in media trials.

When will all these unfortunate human beings like you realise that reporting criminal activities and court procedures are not media trials but journalists doing their jobs?

Civil service can be corrupt though. If you're not ready to play ball, they'll transfer you to another ministry. They don't want to hear that you're an honest person.

The defendant who pleaded not guilty to the charges, was granted bail in the sum of N2m with one surety in like sum, who must be an officer not below Grade Level 14 in the Federal Civil Service. The case was adjourned till June 19, 2019, for trial.
Just imagine someone who committed fraud of #162 million and dey grant him bail of #2m why someone trying to scam some of of $500 and dey are granting him bail of #10,000,000

Lol...

Sometimes I just seat and wonder how civil servants and minimum wage earners can live in Abuja/other expensive cities, and comfortably afford the high cost of rentals which is often thrice or more of their annual salaries.

As a government, you rightly have a cap on salaries and how much you can pay your workers who must be living in these areas to be able to work for you but you forgot or choose to forget to place cap on rentals such that your citizens/workers won't be over-exploited and would have some change to feed and meet other needs.

How the government hopes to fight or discourage corruption without tackling these basics still seems to me like a mirage.
Once I knack 10 yrs n pentionable, I don left civil service job

Civil Servants are more corrupt than the politicians, only that politicians are loud and naive.

In that same Abuja some Civil Servants and Perm Sec can buy Dino and his cars, but that same civil servant drive around in a Goverment Toyota Hillux.

As a director in the federal civil service, his salary is far above #400,000 but yet not contended, if he's found guilty he will sacked without benefits.
