The way he even left the race to become leader of labour party years back explained the frustration. Lammy, the most visible black labour MP aside Umuna does not even make labour shadow cabinet. Jeremy Corbyn has surrounded himself with black & ethnic minority women not considered to be a threat to jostle for the top position. Sam Gyima recently resigned from his ministerial post under Theresa May over Brexit.

Years back Adam Afriyie was being pushed to challenge Cameron (at the wrong time, probably deliberate to neutralise him before the right time), but he was cleverly silenced and shunted. Nobody hears of him now. Despite being the Queen's MP for Windsor, where Windsor Castle in located.

The "aggression" and radical moves you're seen from black male MPs is mostly in realisation that UKIP and other populist streams in UK politics have been allow to shape politics and public opinion since David Cameroon took over in 2010. With the decision to call a Brexit referendum under durex from UK/Farage proving disastrous for cohesion of Britain.

The chances of Scotland breaking away in years to come has even increased. It might even open the pandorax box in Ireland/Northern Ireland.

However, Jeremy Corbyn has odd economic plans and policies which have semblance to that of Bernie Sanders. I don't see him winning. From your post, you seem to imply that it's time for the UK to have a black prime minister. If so, why? At the bolded I seriously doubt. Since 9 years of Tory government, there has been no cabinet minister among the 21 ministers that attend cabinet meetings and rule the country with the prime minister. Only junior ministers (which are actually like directors of various sections of a ministry) like the one Sam resigned from. If a black person is not even chosen to attend cabinet meetings, I see no chance of one leading a Tory government. Sajid Javid is the only non-white that attends cabinet as home office secretary. Baroness Warsi, another Asian, used to be in cabinet but had to resign over some scandal years back.

Kemi has no chance. Maybe as party vice chairman at some point. She also once admitted hacking into the website of former labour interim leader Harriet Harman to plant good things about Tories conservative party on her website. Such a story will rear its head once she tries to contest for leadership.

Dianne Abbot is not popular with the UK public. A woman with very obvious African features/face and not young, very pretty, slim and light-skinned has no chance. She has also too openly championed black causes. Even though Paul Boateng is mixed race, his very combatant and civil right fight in the 1980s serious affected his chances. Probably the most brilliant black MP until Chuka Umunna. Boatent at least made it into the cabinet as Chief Secretary to the Treasury (number 2 in the VERY import finance ministry) under Tony Blair. But he was then shunted away to South Africa as High Commissioner/Ambassador nearing when Tony Blair would hand over to Gordon Brown. A plot to remove a potent rival for the post? I do not know.

Why do they prefer Asians? Well perhaps same reason why they'd give more opportunities across all sectors to Asians than Africans.

Black males are at the bottom of the pile in Western preferential list. The black woman might be labelled as angry, but not seen as a potent rival. Black males are seen as rivals for jobs, control of resources and getting WOMEN. Black males are discriminated against far more than anybody else. Crimes committed by a few are used to tar all black men. Black men get a much longer jail sentence for same crime than other races. Judges choose the top of the discretionary jail term always for black men, while choosing the lowest or medium range for other races. These are according to research findings published often.

As a black guy you just have to understand the system and know how to navigate it with integrity, hard work, tenacity and keep yourself on the straight and narrow. That way you never give them a chance to pounce on you.

Your last statement is very true and hopefully folks who are relocating or desire to do so from Nigeria to western or other developed countries should abide by those values. It's just painful that as race, we have not gone anywhere especially when compared to other races. I believe that Nigeria holds the key to development and upliftment of the race but when the best and brightest are leaving in droves (over 2,400 were granted visas for Canada's express entry immigration route last year. More than double of the previous year and this was a scheme that had less than a thousand applications in 2015) then all hope might be lost (assuming there was hope).
