Personnel budget was not touched. 20% of Overhead cost was cut while 20% capital expenditure was also cut. The recruitment will definitely continue after Covid 19 is curtailed.

The recruitment was among those suspended according to NTA this morning, they include NSCDC,INEC,NCS,NDLEA,ICPC,NIS.

The aftermath of this Covid 19 might only affect MDAs under Integrated Payroll and Personel Information System (IPPIS), but certainly not agencies that pay there salaries from there budget. Agencies like NCS, CBN, NNPC, FIRS lives on cost of collection; meaning they are revenue-generating agencies who doesn't draw their salaries from the consolidated revenue funds of the federal government. So only the agencies who get their personnel cost from the consolidated revenue funds of the FG and are under IPPIS might be affected. And most times, all these revenue generating agencies stated above, are usually being given certain percentage of the revenue generated for a year to run there operations in the coming year. They have there separate budget that must be approved by the National Assembly, so they are completely INDEPENDENT of the FG consolidated revenue funds which are mainly relied upon by other government MDAs. The only prayer now is for us to pray for the good Lord to help Nigeria and of course the whole world to overcome this covid-19 challenge soon. Immediately covid 19 is curtailed, I am more than 100% sure NCS is going to call for the next stage. And before you argue with me here, please make sure you understand how these revenue-generating agencies stated above operates. Happy Easter to you all !
