Should Nigeria Remove Fossil Fuel Subsidy To Improve Infrastructure? by IzuomaIbe: 3:38am On Apr 17, 2019
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has advised Nigeria to remove fossil fuel subsidy and deploy savings from the scheme to fix social infrastructure. but on the part of the Nigerian minister for finance, “There is no imminent plan to remove fuel subsidy.”
Do you think removing subsidy at this time will favour Nigeria and her citizens?

Remove Fuel Subsidy for any reason. It's anti-progress, anti-social and totally foolish.

You know nothing, paying for petrol subsidy is the worst government policy started by obasanjo in 1978. You want the Federal Government to refine a product at $47,and turn around and sell it to you for $34 dollars, who bares the deficit between?

NNPC and independent marketers will prefer to carry it across the border to Benin, chad and sell it for $55 international market price.

Leave the operation and the management to the State where the oil is found, the cost of refining will be competitive and reduce to less than $20. Some of the refining overheads of bringing it to Abuja, Sokoto, Maiduguri etc will be treated as Fixed Overhead to reduce the variable.
