MTN COLLECTED MY =N=2500 FOR INTERNET NITE BROWSING. THE DAY I LOADED THE CARD I RECEIVED CONFIRMATION THAT MY CASH HAS BEEN ACCEPTED AND I HAVE ONE MONTH TO BROWSE ALL NIGHT. ABOUT 9PM SAME DAY I RECEIVED ANOTHER MESSAGE THAT MY ACCOUNT HAS EXPIRED. I CALLED CUSTOMER CARE NO ANSWER I LISTENED TO MUSIC FOR 4 HOURS NO RESPONSE, I SENT EMAILS THEY REPLIED AND SAID THE EQUIPMENT TO CHECK THE PROBLEM IS NOT AVAILABE TILL DATE. MY MONEY IS GONE! THE SERVICE I PAID FOR I DID NOT USE. IMAGINE THIS SAME THING HAPPENS TO ONE MILLION NIGERIANS ALL OVER THE COUNTRY, MTN WILL SUCCESSFULLY MAKE =N=2.5B AND NO QUESTION ASKED.

When they stole my N3k sometime ago,I got a letter frm a Lawyer and delivered it to the PRO at the 'friendshp centre'.In the letter,I threatned legal action. Omo,believe me in less than 2wks,they sent me a txt msg apologising and a N5k account balance.
You can go and visit the centre and hear what they'l tel u first

etisalat did a similar thing to me. any time i call they tell me that their system has not updated them on any activity concerning my account even after two weeks the answer was still the same i had to giv up WETIN MAN GO DO
p.s-To get quick response from mtn customer care change ur language option to pigin english they will take you call within a minute

my guy no b only u o, just recently my N700 was swept off 4rm my bundle plan on funlink. i mailed them 2 lodge my complain after 3 days dey sent me N200 VTU, just imagine!

Same thing happened to me though mine was a smaller amt (N400). But d one dat annoys me most was d 5000 I paid for blackberry int service dat is allowed to last for a month, out of d past 20 days now av only gotten int service for not up to 10 days. They just decide to give u service at their own discretion,its not just funny!

Take heart,your hatred and annoyance towards them doesn't restore your money.

Call customer care but before then,select pidgin or your local dialect as ur preferred language, it's faster this way.

Thank you all for your reply and advice, I appreciate.
A day after i copied to my desktop all the messages sent to me whenever I load, the messages wiped completely, its not as if i mistakenly deleted it, I was surprised to see my message gone. I am confident MTN is going to pay darely for it. I called CC no answer, sent mail they replied that their dead equipment cant access the problem more than a month.
Anyway, I am afraid NIGERIA is in a total mess. I know this will not happen oversee, who will I cry to? Those who are representing us are benefitting from them.
