Translate from miniature model to functional prototype and then patent it.

Until then, nobody will take him seriously
Patent an excavator? Interesting.

Good try.

But the mechanism is a simple concept which is available on YouTube. That's what those syringes are for. Go figure!

To the person that said "patent the excavator"....Excavator is already patented. If the boy used a new and unknown methodology to accomplish the task then he can patent that new method. That does not dismiss the fact he might have an ingenuity in solving social and technological challenges, and in that case he should receive support as a gifted child.

Another person asked to know what has become of mavericks like this in past. Sponsorship is not automatic, the person will be tested to demonstrate their know how. If a person isnt able to solve test challenges they might not advance further. For those that advanced you might want to use FOIA to query Ministry of Science & Technolofy to divulge the info.

To the FOIA advocates, this is where FOIA is useful...not in forcing Lagos Government to reveal if Ambode's mother is muslim or christian or Sango adherent.

Are you sure that's not a toy bought for him?

Please check it well.

Get to be there when he built it.

So we can promote him.

Las las, na cockroach him teachers go teach am how to label.
Imagine, in my level 300, Faculty of Agriculture, UNIPORT, in the practical of a course titled 'Introduction to Entomology', instead of teaching us how to produce insecticides, we were taught how to disect a cockroach and seperate its mouth parts and digestive tract.

Africans are so backwards

I must give kudos to the guy for replicating a non operational prototype, but this not what Nigeria needs now.

The country needs activity and not dummy replications.

Though, he has bright chances of imbibing the mechanics if opportune, but its not worth the celebration attached to it. This are what an average students will do in an advanced country, who are not even up to his age.

I give him Kudos though, We engineering graduates are yet to produce a locally made engine block that can withstand combustion
