Meet Amusuo Paschal: FUTO's Best Male Graduating Student

Getting a first class can be said to be difficult, but it is a feat already achieved by many hardworking students. What is rather uncommon and rare is seeing a student who participated actively in politics, entrepreneurship and other extra-curricular activities and still comes out amongst the tops in his class, with a stunning CGPA.

Amusuo Paschal C., a 22 year old native of Umunneochi in Abia state was last Saturday, April 6th, celebrated and recognized as the Best Graduating Student in the School of Engineering, Overall Best Male Graduating Student and 2nd Best Graduating Student in the university during FUTO's 31st Convocation ceremonies. He finished from Marist Brothers Juniorate, Uturu Abia state before gaining admission in 2013 to study Electrical/Electronic Engineering.

Amusuo Paschal was well known in the Federal University of Technology, Owerri and especially amongst the students of his dept (EEE) and faculty (SEET) through his active engagements in Politics and Leadership-related activities. He was the Course Representative of the EEE class of 2013/2014, a one-time Assistant Secretary General, SEEES and the 2018 Chairman of the NUESA Independent Students Electoral Commission. He also founded the 360 Leadership Forum, community of student leaders, helping them become better and more effective leaders.

In the area of entrepreneurship, Paschal is a strategic thinker. He was the CEO, AmPaschal's Payment Solutions that assisted students make various payments and registrations online without stress. He was also part of the organizers of a number of successful conferences and training programs including the MOVE 2018 Seminar and the Internhub Internship Training.

Among other things, Paschal is well known for his passion and conscious attempts in mentoring younger students and helping them achieve better academic results. He is the author of the book "Becoming a 360° student" and has also written and shared a number of strategy-filled academic articles on his social media platforms.

Paschal is an Android developer and tech enthusiasts with keen interests in IoT and Embedded Systems Design and Development.
