Does deliverance wipe away the crimes someone has committed?

I've been wondering, why is it that when someone commits a crime or sin severely and goes to church for deliverance, they (the church) treat him like someone who is possessed, they deliver him from the evil spirit and rejoice with him for he's free.

Now that's great, he's now delivered but what about the law? He committed crimes (like trading illegal drugs, raping or maybe even murdering), does this deliverance from an evil spirit make him unanswerable to his past crimes? Shouldn't he be charged (all what he confessed in church, all the crimes people know he committed should be enough evidence against him)?

Here's another question:

Is God impartial?

Clearly, the answer of the above question is "NO" but how does it relate to the subject of deliverance from evil spirit?

If truly someone committed a lot of crimes, not intentionally but because of incontrollable forces, an impartial God shouldn't punish that person neither should he be sentenced to hell. An impartial God would know the cause of these actions, blame and punish the spirit involved accordingly.

This issue of deliverance (if real) is really complex. What are your thoughts?

1. Not even your Babalawos can do that. Those deliverance rituals don't set anyone free and have no power to absolve individuals of crimes committed. The reason it appears that crimes are absolved has to do with the lackadaisical attitude towards crime among the gullible who convince themselves these deliverance rituals carry power to remove sins and hence crimes, and that of Nigerians as a whole. undecided

2. The God of Israel(Jesus Christ as well) has absolutely nothing to do with the deliverance rituals, the handlers, and those who partake. They do their own thing apart from God in all of that. undecided
