God forbid. Children of the fallen angels have no business with the direct biological descendants of Abraham. We are original Jews .

Well this is very true but sentimentality won't allow the shallow minded to absorb it. I'm an Igbo, I've read history exhaustively and trust me, the geographical, religious and traditional settings of both Igbo and Yoruba points to a closer historical ties.

In real life, there is nothing like that.... forget those vituperation on NL. There are so many kids here, who believed they are having fun at the detriment of their future and nothing more.

No matter how bad they rant online , they are still the best of friends on the street. My best friend is Aba boy , my Mum business mates are Igbo .

Lol... Sad though.

Especially now that these NL and twitter comments have started to manifest on the street. From Lagos to Benin, Warri to Port Harcourt, Kano to Abuja you keep hearing Yoruba guys (mostly very young ones) saying they don't want to have anything to do with Igbos and vice versa. cool

Nice Damage control.
If only all other traditional rulers all over the country can do as the Oni does then there just might be peace.
Like I said MIGHT. The tribal issues on ground and especially here on nairaland is too complicated.

This Oni is exhibiting every symptoms of 2023 Tinubu presidential ambition. But we are too wise for Oni.

"Abokki go rule you, you go tire"

We do not have anything in common with Afonja.
God forbid! Saying Igbos have somethings in common with Afonja is an aberration.

But you are Yoruba so why type.this?

Stop displaying your ignorance on NL kid. How many of your tribes men are in the top richest African? Even the Hausa are better trader, yorubas are more of industrialists and that make more wealth and create more jobs than petty trading so what are you talking about?

So stop unnecessary comparisons, no single tribe has monopoly of business, education and innovation. Time and chance happen to them all. I repeat, no single tribe is better than the other in any area, for ratings are subjective.

Truth be told, I see no reason as to why Igbo's and Yoruba's should consistently keep abusing themselves online. Let me tell you about myself, i met this beautiful and wonderful lady during my nysc camp in Ogun state. She is a Yoruba Muslim and I am an Igbo Christian. This didn't stop us from falling in love, she was my joy and I was same to her. We prayed, discussed and did almost everything together. A day hardly passes by without us talking...we shared everything which bothered us and never hid anything from each other. She is a seamstress and I am into ICT... After service and all I asked her why wait let's get married... But then there was the issue of religion and tribe, our stumbling block. For heavens sake why should a thing like religion or even tribe stop two adults who are in love from being together. We nearly took a crazy measure but then we reconsidered.
Look be you Igbo or Yoruba for your own best interest stop being tribal and drop every tribal sentiment. Forget what our parents or the society have told us about the other tribe, it isn't true. There isn't any tribe that is all good, none. Few weeks ago I made a comment on a post about stopping tribalism especially on this platform nairaland where it seems to be the heaven for tribalist..and this fellow from no where came and started insulting me and calling me name and all. I hold no grudge with the guy I only believe that if he had something tangible doing he won't have time for such comments.
I pray God heals us all of all tribalism... Racism and xenophobia is enough for us. Let's not add our own self hate to it...
BTW I and Balqis are still lovers and hopefully one day things would change and we'll be with each other.

nonsense. sometimes you have to think with your head instead of your pri.ck.

religion is no issue. but tribe is important for cultural reasons.

So why should either of them stop me from loving whom I want to love.. BTW my brother love is real it not everyman that wants to sleep with a lady.. Or probably you've never met a lady who swept you off your feet.. With her intellectual prowess and all.

Even in real life, the hatred is there.

You must be a fool for using such a vulgar sentence. Did I abuse you at all, in my earlier post? It shows your lack home training. I believed your parents must have tried but you refused to learn.

Then, you are the one killing yourselves with so much hate in you. No wonder you may never progress in life unless you do away with such hatred.

I wonder where this Ooni reads his own history from. Just a few days ago, he says Hausas and Yorubas have historical ties. As him about Arabs, Indians or Isrealites tomorrow, he'll still say they have historical ties to yoruba, as if everyone else reading his brand of history is dumb. BTW, where is the Noah's arkhe says is located in Ife?
