dont justify nonsense. was ayefele or any of his staff manhandled and thrown into waiting vans ? What was the offence of the girls that are trying to make ends meet and some that just came to have fun ? Are they the club owners ?
Stop sounding irresponsible. Do you wish to have strippers as daughters?

They could easily have sealed the club in the afternoon before business took off for the night. That would have made more sense as the girls would have just gone home.

They decided to do it like this because they wanted to cause fracas and drama. There was absolutely no need whatsoever for those girls to have been dragged out. All they needed to do was tell the bouncers that they have one hour to dress up and tell them to go home.

The complaint was about the club owner using the property to conduct unauthorized business because the building was zoned for clinic. The girls dancing had nothing to do with anything- afterall the girls don't play the music that is causing disturbance.

If they had arrested the DJ sef it would have made more sense after all the DJ is playing the music. Those girls had nothing to do with this case. This was just eye-service and is proof that in Nigeria women are treated anyhow.

How many times have you heard that strippers have carried gun to force someone to pay for lapdance? Yet this is what AMAC is doing.

God is watching all of us. This was wicked and heartless. Imagine carrying people naked because of noise complaint yet politicians that stral billions are invited to police station with full agbada under AC Jeep.
Human right team should please come to the aid of these girls. Each of those girls is suppose to go home with not less than N20M.

The stripers need to sue the government. If the building is illegal for club business why cant the authorities go during the day that the club is not on for the sealing or invite the own of the club for questioning.? Why embarrass people cos you want to show off you are working. This is how they kill entrepreneurs.
If they go there during the day what evidence would they have that they are using the building for clubbing not for clinic?

Common sense.

If they went during the day, the owners can claim that the club is anything. They can claim it's a bar or relaxation spot or simply doesn't exist.

What's wrong with catching people in the 'act' the authorities decided to swoop in when they were knee deep in the crime they were reported for.

Why some of you refuse to deeply think remains a mystery.

I don't see any reason to arrest and humiliate people for stripping in a bar and dancing. Everyone going to club already knew that's what happens there. How does it concern another person? Nigeria is a very useless country honestly. Now you've humiliated them for trying to put a food on their table no matter how dishonorable you think it is. As for morality, what's morality if I may ask?

This is the kind of thing that ministry of women affairs is for but we won't see them. An injustice against one is an injustice against all of us.

These are human beings with feelings and dignity not animals. You can't just treat people like this. I want to encourage the big wigs that do browse this forum to do something for these girls. Them being humiliated is against their human rights.

I don't even know what to say because his thing pained me. I don't know of any strong woman that is a human rights lawyer that can help these girls.

Cossy spoke up for them and I give her kudos but I don't know if she has done more than post on social media.

Then why not take videos and arrest the owners or managers instead of the entertainers that are not aware the place isn't approved for business.?

The residence of the street actually reported to FCTA about activities in the building been too loud, unfurtunately for the club owners the building plan with the abuja authority only indicated it to be a clinic within the Residential Area.

Upon arrival of the authorities to seal up the place the clubbers.started resisting and fighting them till police were contacted. Clubs are to be located in Business Areas/Districts and not Residential Areas.

This isnt about religion or ethnicity, as Abuja night club you'd find Fulani, Ibo, Yoruba, Edo grooving hard Just like Dubai and Abudhabi Clubs where you'd find Americans Arab and Russians rocking each others like its a United Nation general Assembly.

The case is just similar to Yinka Ayefele's Building demolition issue, or that of AIT office. They got a wrong building aproval and decide to build just about anything they like, since Nigeria is sopposed to be lawless.

.

Story. Becca in Katampe is arguably a bigger strip club, is it in a residential area or business district? Why focus only on Caramelo?

A raid happens when the crime or infringement is been comitted, the petition the goverment got from neigbors claimed there are noise and clubing activities in there Residential Area. If the authority goes in the afternoon as you suggested and there is no noise or clubing activities the owner can deny all allegation but going at night the got them red handed with lots of evidence.

As for the girls, prostituition is illegal in nigeria and should a police suspect you.to be one true nudity he has the right to arrest you. Just few months Ghana raided Nigerian Prostitute hide out amd deported them accordinly they couldnt sue them cos they were wrong.

Nigeria is a secular country. A constitutional democracy governed by laws. Yet you're here talking about morality like the disgusting hypocrite that you are.

Morality is always subjective, NOT objective. Practice your own morality in your house, don't force it down someone else's throat.

Best comment, but they shouldn't have handled the ladies and parade them in their nudity. That's right violation. In these days, phones can pick and share something around the globe in a minute. You want to tarnish someone's image and future by parading them naked. Are they the ones who resisted the security operatives or it was the owners or operators of the night club. Human rights abuse is a common practice in Nizooria, and it is a concrete part of the lawlessness you talk about. Thanks!

Few days ago, 34 female strippers who play their trade at a popular night club in Abuja, Caramelo, were arrested by the officials of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).

It was also learnt that some of the nude dancers were from wealthy homes, while some of them were married and have children.

The All Progressives Congress, UK chapter on reacting to the latest raid at the popular night club, applauded the FCTA and the Department of Development Control, Abuja Environmental Protection Board (AEPB) and the Social Development Secretariat (SDS) for the job well done in curbing the moral decadence ravaging the city of Abuja.

Also on sharing the video of how the nude dancers struggled with the agencies during the last week Wednesday raid, they wrote;

Reason for the raid “In response to security reports and complaints from the residents of area adjoining the location of Caramelo Night Club on plot 630 Cadastral zone B05 along T.O.S Benson Street within Utako District, the relevant authority deployed its officers to carry out surveillance in order to validate the complaints.

“The outcome of the surveillance revealed that the complaints are genuine and real. Please note that the substance of these complaints include, noise nuisance from loud party music, nude/strip dancing club activities intractable traffic challenge, resulting from uncontrolled patronage to the commercial nightclub within the residential precinct,” he said.

Is this our problem in this country. Like seriously going after strippers in a well known strippers club.

Nigeria is just a joke. So they waisted government resources and fund to carry out such an operation. Pssh.

We all know the type of people that frequent and lavishly spends money at such avenues. Most people (married and unmarried ) of both religion (Christian and Muslim ) do perform highly immoral activities worse than those strippers. But they claim holy.

Mediocrity and hypocrisy is the new trend in Nigeria.

Your argument simply has no basis or point.

Operations like this are best carried out when it's happening.
At least you must have seen movies or something even if you are oblivious to how law enforcement works.

This is not about wether they care about being naked or not. This is about dignity and human feeling. There is no reason why they should have been carried out like that. No reason whatever. Enforcing the law does not mean acting like savages. In any credible country this will never happen.
